I queue as everything, Tank, healer or DPS, just to get stuff rolling fast.
When I do that, it assigns me a healer spot and it marks 13 mins to wait for a tank.
I cancel, requeue as tank only, 1 min queue.
Shouldn’t the system place me in the role you need the most right now?
No it should place in you the role you selected.
Sorry but I have to say your method is one I highly dislike.
If you’re going to healque as heal, if dps que dps,if tank que tank not all of them all at once.
When you do that you take away a spot for someone that is geared and running as a tank and also taking away a spot of someone geared and running healers.
Pick a lane. IDC if one’s class allows for it. Doing this messes up ques for others and runs.
They literally said they’re selecting all the roles.
I have no idea how that works. I assume it puts you in the role with the fewest people queuing over a given period. But the timer is pretty unreliable, especially for LFR. I assume it has something to do with how big those groups are, and how many people have to actually sign up for it to start a group.
I’ve spend 20+ minutes in a queue as a role that had the goodiebag. I don’t believe the queuesystem is smart enough to know what role is needed most.
If another healer queues, it’ll change you to tank.
the wife and I queue’d together last night…waited a LONG time for a TWing run…like 30-40 minutes…lol…nothing.
I ungrouped with her and queued again solo…boom…about 2 minutes before the call.
Not saying something is wrong…but half hour for a TW run? Never seen it before until we tried to do one grouped.
Nope. Places you into the first available group for the roles you picked.
So what happened was you landed in a group with 3 dps and no tank with healer chosen.
Then when you switched to tank only, you also landed in a group of 3 dps and no healer.
Its called a queue system. Its a first come first serve system. Not a chosen by role system

When it goes 2x the recommendated wait time (says 5 mins but youve been there for 10), drop queue and requeue and it fixes itself and you get into a group in about 3-4 minutes.
I told her to do that while we we’re waiting…she was the one in charge and didnt want to, so we waited a while longer till I gave up and ungrouped and did it solo.

Aren’t you assuming I’m not geared, though? When I’m 660+ in every specc which is more than enough for queable content.
