If you are using Chromie Time, then I’d recommend stopping XP at 47. (At 48 you become eligible for the Shadowlands starter quest which can interfere with turning Chromie Time back on if you have to turn it off for some reason.)
For BfA content, it’s best to stop it at 50 so you retain access to the dungeon finder so you can do some of the later quests.
