Well, if that’s the cool thing to do now (and it wasn’t when I started playing WoW in 2004), then I’ll just continue to recreate the same post every 30 days, unless that’s too long to wait. What a joke.
I know how they work, but I rarely use them in the last several years, and now I have another reason to avoid them.
This is just weird. We’re also not supposed to “police” on the forums, soooooo…
And if this is not supposed to happen, then why are so many replying? It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I will defend myself when someone like you takes the opportunity to goad me.
Why is making a new thread “weird?”
Where is that said?
I suppose you’re not familiar with the rules, either.
Not with that rule. Remember how I linked the rule on necroing threads?
Why don’t you linked this supposed rule on “policing?”
This is something Blizzard has made clear since 2004.
Also, making the same thread every 30 days would be considered spam and trolling, so don’t do that either.
Just create one thread, and if you get the answers you need in that thread? Job done. If you don’t? So be it; keep your new thread active by making proper contributions to it (just typing enough to get past the character limit would also be considered spam), or just let the matter rest.
I’d say “this escalated quickly” but it been a slow 1.5 year burn… ![]()
Miss? This is my first reply to you:
So lady, could you please explain how this was harassment. I was answering your question.
Nah I’m pretty happy.
I’m not.
Yeah I am.
What do you want to know?
This post count started in 2018. That’s 17 posts a day ![]()
I dunno, like 90% of the world? Who isn’t on some sort of social media?
Right back at you, m’am.
P.s. weren’t you supposed to put me on ignore?
That’s still not considered harassment by Blizzard. You don’t have to like their posts or posting style. Instead, you need to put them on ignore if they’ve ‘bothered’ you that much.
You don’t actually get to decide that for others. That’s just silly and antagonizing. Perhaps you’re now ‘harassing’ them?
While I’m not allowed to hide my profile as an MVP, who cares if they post a bunch or hide their profile? I bet that if I were able to add up all my posts from previous iterations of the forums…I’d have a higher count that about 99% of other regulars.
I already gave you the proper steps to put them on ignore. Use that.
How do I manage to get through life with 0 people on ignore in game and here?
And why do they call them Necro? Cause we don’t have them in game, if we did, they would be called Ranger topics. Or Cleric threads hehe.
Yeah, I wouldn’t exactly say that…
It depends.
Some questions and topics really are evergreen, don’t get overcome by events, and are worth revisiting. Having the old discussion thread for context can be useful in those cases.
Others are stale, have been overcome by events, and for resurrecting such nonsense the ghost of El Santo will lay the Venezuelan Headscissors on your dreams tonight.
if it isn’t ill intent is what i meant. again some are just people who look up info and not pay much mind to the dates. we dont need a squad buckling down over an accident. it’s not a big deal as people make it… like now. if necro is that big of deal ( which is a few times every few weeks) they should enforce closing topics better on this side.

Yes, accidents happen. Usually we just point out they necroed something and then answer them. But it is true that things change in game and an old answer may not be helpful. We’ve seen Allied Race requirements change, but old threads on it get bumped. So that info is super unhelpful for people. And that’s just one example.
This person they were dealing with all night in here, though, has been necroing old threads just to troll and antagonize others.
So there’s the difference.
Yes, that’s what we’ve been asking for. Which EU forums have already. Ours does need it.
