Question for you LFG and RDF People

How is it flawed. Just explain that.

You have polls from Various sources, some of which are Anti LFDers. where the majority are voting for it. You can not, reasonably, prove to me that all those positive votes to keep LFD are fabricated votes.

No it doesn’t.

People are way more likely to seek out those polls and manipulate them if they want LFD back. That’s because people that want LFD back have an actual stake in the polls and something to fight for.

People that don’t want LFD are just relaxing having a good time preparing for Wrath.

I accept that it was in wotlk. The end of it as subscriptions started to stagnate and go down shortly after in cata. Which was in part due to a long content droubt.

I also accept, and i am excited for the fact it wont be in wotlkc.

I am not the one crying here.

I just dont accept data that is clearly flawed.

Oh. So LFD wasn’the reason for subs dropping, and perhaps more because peolpe burned out with a 1 boss mini raid while waiting for Cata?

You don’t accept that you can’t provide any proof that things are fabricated, when the reality is the poll sizes vary in amount of people voting, meaning the fabrication of votes is even more unlikely to be faked.

The capability for an individual to vote many many times, the fact it has bais as a baseline because upset people are more likly to search for ways to voice their views than content people, the fact we have known evidence of these very things happening to open vote based things as seen in this video.

Its not a good source if data.

So you accept the fact that Blizzard is catering to the minority? I mean, who cares that they lose a lot of subs…Well, you should for starters. You always have the options NOT TO DO IT. I don’t like pet battles, but I certainly will never ask to get rid of them. I simply don’t partake in this activity.

It’s a crazy thought to let people play the game they see fit.

Um, that specific piece, it’s actually pretty unanimous here actually. People are against it.
And yet, we have boosts…

Cross Faction PvP wasn’t added until MoP. And yet, we have it.

There is a difference between want & need.

RDF was introduced to solve certain problems within the community.
RDF did solve a lot of problems.
Yes, it may have cons…as you can’t get picky and only seek meta classes /w BIS gear…but pros outweigh all the cons by a serious margin.

Like I said earlier, you may think that 30,000 people all went on voted YES 100’s time each.
OR, equally so, 1,000’s went and voted NO multiple times.

Yeah, you guys get a kick out of taking options from others.

You keep linking a video and yet unable to prove to me that numbers are fabricated.

I could run 100 polls, using only people that haven’t been polled in a previous one before, on average with about 1k peolpe per poll. And I guarentee you every single one will be overwhelmingly for LFD.

The best part about saying something is fake? It’s on you to prove it’s fake. Not just to say “oh well we’ve seen this before in real life”.

Welcome to the real world, bucko, you have to prove your side if you want to be right.

Feel free to go run those polls, you can even choose the people for all I care. You’re just another statistic who thinks he’s right without providing proof of his side.

Lfd should be in wrath classic and the decision not to include it is one of the dumbest decisions I’ve seen blizzard make and they make ALOT of them.

Do you not know how the bias of negative feedback works? Do you know how statistics works in general, as a discipline?

I’ve not seen a more incorrect statement about the nature of statistics and feedback.

I find it really odd the way they announced it also, like…here’s the wrath reveal ok cool so what new cool things can we expect from wrath? oh well yeah good question we’re removing rdf and selling a 70 boost, cya in 3 months

In part yes, but the “in part” is the part you seem to have missed the first time. There are many factors. Acting as if rdf was the only reason people started quitting would be dishonest.

Or, the person doing it tried to hide it and would intentionally limit his many votes to only be around 25-50% of the total votes. Enough to alter the data but not enough to make it obvious.

That guy and the army of level 20 and below characters have been using the same argument from the start. What benefit is there in making groups for 5 man’s more painful anyways?

They say “go back to retail” as they literally put in retail features and take out actual wrath features.

Yes, because only PRO RDF’s use wowlogs.
Because only PRO-RDF have multiple accounts
Because only people who want something are the ones to cheat…oh, crazy, isn’t? The minority wants to push for NO RDF so they skew the polls to justify Blizz’s decision…

Considering there is a historic trend of people tampering with open polls data “just to troll” its not reaching to think someone would tamper with poll data to meet some form of agenda like, trying to make a company move in a direction they want for their personal wants or benefits.

it’s their game, if they think this is the direction that’s best for the classic series, then they can do that. Vote with your wallet. This information has been out for a month or two now, yet you are still subscribed.

That’s not true, RDF added buffs to players using the system, and there are bonuses to using the system. It would be dumb to not use it.

You wouldn’t ask them to get rid of it, but if Blizzard said for patch 9.2, we will run a poll if you want us to develop a new raid tier, or do you want us to develop enhancements to the pet battle system. Pet Battles are a distraction, a mini-game.

What if they introduced RDF, but you couldn’t earn any badges through that system. Or if you do a heroic without RDF, you get double badges from bosses and a bonus 4 badges from completing the dungeon.

so is the LFG UI that they wasted their time on.
THing is litearlly worse than using BB addon.

They want it to be a 1 stop for all. Or whatever wording they used.

That thing is garbage. Retail LFG tool could have been a somewhat decent compromise to whisper/post spam battle we currently have.

It is nearly impossible to use LFG chat without addons. If you will tell you aren’t using any addons, I will know for a fact you are a fat liar.

Its not reaching to think someone would deny the validity of a poll to meet some form of agenda like, trying to make a company continue to move in a direction they want for their personal wants or benefits

I for sure use the Bulletin Board addon.
In wotlk, I probably won’t, or I would use it to look for content while on another character. Like if I want my healer to run a MS>OS Naxx run, but I’m on a different character, I would probably set up Bulletin Board to monitor LFG for that run, if my DPS cannot queue for that raid in the LFG tool.

I know in another thread you said you personally tested this, so you have that first hand knowledge. What I can’t find are any youtube videos or something where anyone is showing this off. I would like to see what you described in that post in action, but no one is posting a video of what its like in beta. The only videos I can find are people talking about the blue post itself, or maybe just showing it off in Beta, but no one really interacting with it.
