So we get the 115 weapon and my understanding is that we will have the opportunity to kill him again next week.
Question, is there any chance for an off hand item to drop from him, example shield for an elemental shaman or some item for a caster. Also applies to dual wield specs I guess. Just wondering if I should bother with it or not.

Off-hand is categorized as armor, same for shield.

There’s a few shields that drop from the rares in IC. Not sure about off-hands though.
Dual wielding classes have a shot though. The weapons he drops aren’t unique equipped from what I noticed when looking earlier.
I wouldnt worry about it. You’ll replace any gear that drops from him or from the icecrown rares within the first couple of levels in a week
Thanks, I was mostly curious because I have a new 50 warlock who has a 1/4 heirloom off hand equipped because she got a sword. Ordinarily I’d just get one from a bfa world quest but she only has access to half of it. So was looking at options to get her something even remotely better than that.

It’s not a foolproof system, my arcane mage got a staff where as my friend’s got a sword. But it’s worth a shot?
Ideally, they should put shields, offhands, rings and trinkets on the vendor as well.
