Question about Darkness and Podtender

Hey all,

New to Demon Hunter, and just had an interaction I’m curious about. Being pretty undergeared I’m used to being easily killed in stuns, but I recently got killed in a kidney shot standing in my darkness, then my pod got 100-0 within the Darkness as well (excellent defensive BTW /s). Unfortunately I died too fast to check, but does Darkness also actually apply to a Podtender seed?

one would think so, seeing as its an ability that affects any friendly unit in it

most of low dmg, not the heavy dmg and is only one attack read this
chance to avoid all damage from an attack

Yeah but I still seem to watch my teammates die all the time in it
