Also had the issue, unable to move during cinematic, stuck watching it as a floating camera- unable to take actions. Reload UI didn’t fix. Relog did thankfully- also had the old model frame Xal as talking head as others mentioned.
I’ve also encountered this bug. The camera detaches from my character as the scene begins, can barely understand what’s happening, and the camera doesn’t follow me or the NPCs (Y’tehki, Xal’atath) when we’re supposedly moving outside. And then there’s nothing I can do but log out.
Found a workaround***
When you get stuck, after all the dialogue, use the group finder (dungeon worked for me), then leave the instance. You should be free and back to normal.
Anyone know if the cinematic has been fixed? i am waiting for that to be fixed so i can enjoy the cinematic

A similar thing happens in some Shadowlands quests. The usual work around with those is to kill the game client and wait a while before going back into the game.

Same is happening to me. What the heck is this? This is the first time I’ve seen a quest this broken. I’m having an issue with the Scarab quest in this same zone as well. What the heck is going on?
