Also confirmed still bugged and that dying and rezzing solved the issue. Stupid bug.

Lol pathetic, still bugged.

  1. Make a macro with the following command /click ExtraActionButton1
  2. Add macro to hotkey that you can spam click
  3. Go backstage by going around the map with flying
  4. Move slowly forward from the backstage to the front stage and spam the macro button

This allowed me to disguise myself mid air while they kicked me out and I remained in the Tree disguise so that I could complete the quest.
