Quaking in Tazavesh Gambit

Alright so So Leah’s Gambit has a loading screen after the dragon boss who is a captain but is also a dragon. This week we had the pleasure of having our group one-shot when we took the portal to the last room and then had the game trigger quaking while we were all loading in. None survived.

Blizzard has stated many times they will never add unsurvivable mechanics to the game to entrap players, at least they did years ago, so I assume this is still the case. There is no way to avoid this as it’s simply a loading screen and a matter of getting unlucky with the timing. Do they want us to start funneling through the portal one at a time like funneling in groups into the boss room on C’thun all those years ago?

Please change this dungeon to deactivate quaking somehow after players are taking the portal. Maybe add a safe zone around the spawn point? One which is no interactable to prevent exploits like kiting the chunky-chunky-bois from down that hill into it?

Basically just don’t want our Gambit key to automatically have a time deduction just because it’s quaking.

Quaking shouldn’t trigger in certain places like while we’re being manhandled by the angels in Spires of Ascension. If you’ve played BfA you will probably remember how the “teleport” at the last boss in Underrot would kill everyone while transporting downstairs.

Either make it not trigger in certain places or give it a temporary immunity if such mechanics are going to happen when we have literally no way to avoid it on something that shouldn’t even be part of M+ in the first place (RP mechanics shouldn’t be part of M+, change my mind).

This actually happened to my group last night. No quaking when we went in the portal. After we loaded, we were all dead.

Did a soa and quaking hit while we were on the angels, nothing happened but weird that it would go off in the air lol

Had a similar issue in Streets on mail boss where we had to soak the golden circle and a quaking popped. I’m not really sure if you can do anything about that timing… thoughts? I know quaking presented problems initially on the stack guy in the 9.1 seasonal affix until it was realized that the cycle was predictable, so you could pull it right after a quaking and you’d be fine. I’m not sure if this works on the mailroom boss yet.

There’s a Weak Aura you can get that will show you the timings of Quaking. It’s got something like an 8s window where it could trigger, but may not, up to I think four times and then it will trigger.

You can either wait for the window to reset, or stagger your angel rides. It’s a dumb mechanic to be sure, but at least you can do something about it!

I remember this happening way back in Legion in Halls of Valor right as my group was going into the forest portal.

this happened to us tonight. only three people died so no big deal, but it was annoying.

Yeah I know it can be played around to a certain extent, but this really shouldn’t be the case.
