That’s not even how tanks that count as tanks work
I think if they gave aug Disintegrate it’ll be fine or a pvp talent that makes breath of eon a 1 min cd.
I agree, Disintegrate is leagues better than Eruption. A single disintegrate tick from Devastation is rivaling a low end 1.4 second cast of Eruption. Getting a couple ticks off for some damage, versus an all or nothing on a 1.4 second cast (Longer than chaos bolt for dramatically less damage). Eruption risks volcanic lockout from everything versus just the blue school on Disintegrate.
I think just making baseline Deep Breath a 1min CD, then a 2min CD for opting into Breath of Eons makes sense. PvErs will still take Eons, and PvPers will likely take regular Deep Breath for the shorter cd on stun.
The only PVP Tuning that befits Augmentation is to delete it from PVP.
—> PVE this way (for tank and augmentation enjoyers)
You would be very welcome to do some PVE dungeons and buff allies and such.
Augmentation in PVP is the worst game design ever. Aug patch in DF had the worst arena I’ve experienced in my life - boring, prolonged, tedious.
And the good thing is, blizzard realized this very fast and that’s why aug is in the dumpster with tanks, because that’s what it is.
Clearly not happening, losing credibility brother.
Ohh no you had a poor time for 2 weeks while they nerfed Aug into oblivion when it still wasnt even better than Balance Druid, Demo Lock, or Spriest. No pouting about DK being OP all of WOTLK, DH all of Legion, or MW monk in MOP? Just takes the developers time when introducing a brand new class or spec, especially mid xpac. Was only strong for 2 weeks over a year ago, im sure you’ll manage. Rogue has been oppressively OP like this for consecutive expansions at times.
Again losing credibility by the moment. Maybe you are a big PvE guy that was hurt that the new intellect spellcaster class wasn’t gonna add an intellect tank? It’s not a tank, you open the specialization pane it says damage dealer.
Perfect evidence why haters of a spec shouldnt have influence in the spec’s balance/performance.
Yeah, worst 2 weeks of my WoW arena experience ever, but it’s good that they killed it off very quickly because it was univerasally hated.
Sorry bro, aug is not coming back to PVP. Nobody wants it. Go do some dungeons or switch to a real spec maybe
BUG Report – The Scalecommander Hero Talent Endcap “Maneuverability” does not work at all with Deep Breath as Augmentation (Standard Deep breath not specceed into Eons).
LMAOOO
Tanks aren’t viable in PvP either.
What your asking for is to just bring back a silly 1 shot combo that you cross your fingers for crits to win in opener.
I don’t know why they think support has to mean “Stat buffing partners”. The role should simply feel like hybrids with a few extra abilities instead of damage. Like a ret and shaman combined = Mobility buffs (hello that’s dmg for partners), Medium CC, Instant and cartable offheals, long cooldown bubbles and damage reduction for self or partner- not both at once.
Doing this would be easy. remove the stat buff to partners, give it mana back, increase it’s damage to at least match healers. Right not it does less than disc priest, mw, or a hpal that uses judgment on cd.
The spec can be made viable and fun but it needs to stay within the bounds already created by other classes.
Not true at all. I immediately lead with nerfing the high end mass eruption burst damage, and buffing constant damage like living flame and low end normal eruptions. I think everyone would agree with that direction. I did not suggest buffing our hardest hitting ability Upheaval either. Idk if you play much Aug, but Eruption can either hit for 400k or crit for 2+ Million, depending on how many modifiers stacked. I suggested nerfing the modifiers to nerf the high end damage, but bringing up / buffing the low end of eruption damage.
The “Buffing” we provide can be replaced by Arcane Intellect which provides 40% of Ebon Might’s value permanently. Does not warrant us doing 50-75% of the damage of all the other spellcasters.
Not bluffing when I say Aug has some of the lowest hybrid off healing in game right now. Mana is too scarce if you use living flame, and emerald blossom is comically undertuned.
I’m not opposed to this, but not as practical. Would change the identity and effect PvE too much, hence why I suggested all PvP specific tuning.
I totally agree with this trying my best to direct that.
and also fix deep breath for aug maneuverability talent while they are at it
you know what, maybe I wasnt here when evokers were released and played pvp, but augmentation seems like a cool idea for pvp particularly 3s
I can think of a few comps and ways that aug could be good. They’re like an ele but freakier. I would play with an aug
Hope it gets the balancing it deserves champ
aug/assa is my favorite matchup in shuffle so far. aoe shiv makes my dmg stick when it matters
