One BG getting destroyed by people with several times your gearscore as a fresh questie is, and has been enough to turn off someone from PvP for good.
Go tell a new PvP’er or PvP-curious player that they’ll need to be a massive liability in their BG team being undergeared and go on massive losing streak they can’t help before they can get the first tier of gear that they can actually hope to enter rated in.
And show us their positive response.

I think they’re alleviating this problem with the “practice” bg next expansion. I don’t know too much about it but it seemed pretty sweet to me!

How are you supposed to learn a BG while playing 90% of it as a ghost with the enemy team repeatedly ganking you since they can see bad gear.
very interesting idea, if not misremembering lost ark does something like this, so you can pick the stats you want and change them every arena if you want to try different stuff

Doesn’t require a premade for a new PvP player to hear that BG’s are the way to get Honor.

I’d go into random bgs and get 40 kills vs people with full gear because it’s just premade/skill gap.

I was in a BM/WW/Blood dk lobby on my tilt tank after like 7 consecutive bm lobbies from 2900 going 2-4. So I decided to play glass sunfury last few hours of season and PVE and do nothing else in shuffle.
Kennie was the unfortunate victim on the blood dk of my tilted que session and has been bitter ever since. He was mad i got globaled by WW/BM 40-0 in a GCD thru caut and didnt block but blocked against him. Not that I could block if its in a global and one of those unforch moments you get hit really hard as cauterize procs after it procs so its like you didnt get it.
I said I block against tanks and not with them they deserve the rating loss.
