This doesn’t matter and is a hyperbolic point
We just had a whole xpac of geared players breaking the necks of lesser geared noobs as we had for the majority of the games history and the game did fine
If anything it won’t be as bad as BfA due to M+ players have gear equal to that of mythic raiders so the pool of crazy geared players is going to be knee capped
It certainly isn’t encouraging and fostering participation. Especially if they were unsure about pvp in the first place.
This game is 15 years old. We should be making sure its a fun environment for new blood. Getting stomped by the uber geared is likely to get a decent percentage to never step foot in a bg again.

Good, we don’t want those guys PvP’ing anyway. If a loss makes them never want to play the content again then thats on them.

They tried making it change too appeal to new players and people that don’t pvp as much, the whole overall participation of pvp took a huge hit and they’ve almost fully reverted it
So apparently they tried it, it didn’t work and in fact it back fired and now they’ve gone back to the method you think is worse for new players
This is what happens when PvE player think they are PvPing while overgeared.

I’m not a pve player, but keep going.
If you’re grinding M+ and Raid for “PvP” gear, you’re a PvE player.

Yeah pretty much that
I sucked at pvp when I first started playing and then I spammed the life out of it because it was fun until I had my first set of pvp gear and started doing arena and I’ve played WoW for pvp from then on
The only xpac I haven’t played was legion because BGs were so lifeless and I got my rental character when I went in it made me quickly run out of reasons to play the game
Guess PvP players don’t exist then. Or would we be both then?
Apparently not because if they think it’s PvP to grind out some gear and then go pone sum nubs, it’s not actually PvP.

That’s the sad reality of being a pvper currently and we are still hoping the PvP system isn’t final and we see something to give incentives to use pvp gear for pvp
Regardless it’s better to have pvp scaling removed because it didn’t really do anything aside from make things confusing for no good reason
Are you talking about rated pvp or casual open world pvp?
Must be talking about non rated pvp because they haven’t done arena for 11 years
Thats probably why they think it’s about grinding gear to destroy “nubs.”
Look I don’t know what these people think
If they had ever participated in PvP they would understand the amount of times you’d enter an arena, see a meta team with 20% more hp than you and you’d instantly think you’re about to lose.
Then you smash the life out of them and feel like a god for a moment
Then you fight a random team with 2 people with less gear than you and somehow you lose to them because they played like total chads
Yeah, most people in pvp outgear me and im 475. Im usually 30-40k hp below most people, without them having fort or warlocks being warlocks.(oof, still using bfa numbers)
Yeah same, it’s weird because before the patch is fight a resto Druid that we couldn’t even dent that had 550k hp
Then we’d fight another Druid with 550k hp and delete them in the opener
I don’t think the power gap was ever as large as it was in bfa
Rng procs and corruption :)))
I must admit it was always a laugh to look at your damage breakdown at the end of arena
Gushing wounds
Reaping flames
Lethal strikes
Drest
Class abilities
I’m talking about players who think that grinding PvP gear so that they can get an advantage over their opponents thinking that this is how PvP should be played. It’s no more PvP then players who go into classic raids with BfA gear thinking that they are now end game raiders and that they have “earned those PvE chivos”.
