So in the highest cr like 3000 cr teams do they purposly wear bad gear or worse gear than the other team to win? Or do they still wear the best gear?

Best Gear. Scaling had some bugs like sockets but it really wasn’t noticeable. And frankly people at 3k + mmr would rather just play the game right rather than win. Biggest example, you don’t see spites anymore after around 2900, not because the best teams have figured out counterplay but because of cultural reasons.
