I get you guys wanna have community events, and I love that.
But things like the AWC, MDI, Race to world first aren’t even remotely relevant for any normal players.
It’s actually annoying that you guys give the players involved preferential treatment, you take their feedback with more sincerity and pretty much everyone else suffers for it.
You know what is annoying? Getting into a group with a bunch of bad and average players trying to replicate what they saw in the MDI or race to world first… or your spec being ruined because someone figured out how to cheese something to do ridiculous damage in one situation… or because some PvPer with a big following thinks a specific build is a meme in PvP… or cause the people running a class discord want a spec to be overly complicated.
Content creators and E-Sports might be good for marketing, but they make the game worse to play.
I hate to say it, but the only thing interesting about the race to world first – was that some people got banned for exploiting a bug… and the fact that they only got banned for like 4 days.

Don’t worry, they are working tirelessly to make delves worth having their own esports league. World First Zek’vir type bosses will be important things to watch in the future. This will include all the pitfalls of having a world first race such as things not being addressed until the racers say it’s okay, unless it’s an exploit then they get tapped with a 4 day slap on the wrist.
