Big changes arrive with the introduction of Warbands, Skyriding, class and system updates, and more with the pre-expansion content update. Take part in a new event, Radiant Echoes, and begin your first steps into the continuing story that will take you into the unexplored depths of Azeroth.
Thanks for the date!

Yes! Now I know when I have to go through my chars and redo my talents and stuff. Time to clean bags, my bank and tie up loose ends.
Ooh I should spend my flightstones and whatnot before I forget
the when still says 30th?
EDIT: thanks for the clarification, patch on the 23rd, event on the 30th
That’s cool and all but can you unshrink Taivan?..oops, wrong timeline.
Can’t wait for prepatch. Looking forward to the transmog changes.
Any chance you can make awakened toggable? Big Pain in the rear to work on glory meta achieves or farm the mythic fyrakk mount when awakened is up. or the Mythic Sarkareth Manuscript.
Starts on the 30th.
Will none dragonflight owners gain access to dragonflight content on the 23rd? asking because my friend recently started playing.
Most likely not unless they pre-order The War Within. That normally happens sometime after Expansion release not Pre-Patch.
July 23rd!? Who could have guessed. Not I.
You get the sark manuscript on any difficulty. I have it and I have not done mythic Sark.
Way lower drop chance though, and the point about mythic Fyrakk mount and glory metas still stands.
1 month of prepatch…
To do what exactly?
It takes two hours to set up all the new stuff
Yikes… “content”
Tell us you’ve never played a PrePatch without telling us you’ve never played a prepatch.
I (as many others in my guild) spent most of my S4 time in Remix, now with this date, does that mean we cannot complete the S4 Awakened Raid achievement for Vault of the Incarnates since Blizz kept the awakened rotation all up to prepatch instead of letting them all be awakened in the last weeks? Is there any plan to do this from next week to allow people to finish last minute Awakened raiding?
3-4 weeks of prepatch is entirely normal. Lets people transition to new gameplay from overhauls and stuff without also trying to rush to endgame at the same time. It also serves as a story lead-in (the event) and stress testing to make sure major bugs get found before the new expansion is live (in terms of new talents and systems and stuff that we can interact with now go)
