Probably. They ban people from the premade discord for less. It just depends on if you annoy one of the mods/owner or not.
Is there a reasonable explanation of how the brackets work somewhere?
Like in my case, low pop server so don’t need to get as much honor but then since lower numbers the brackets are different?
Never really looked into it before, just curious. It doesn’t really matter to me (not shooting for r14, heck doubt I have the time to even go for r12), more wondering how it works this time around. Back in vanilla when I had more time to play I used to get similar complaints (well, 3 times over a couple months) and just ignored them since I simply enjoyed playing/PvPing a lot (obviously some weeks more than others). Really had no idea how it affected others. Still only get that how much you gain is relative to everyone else.
To be fair I did 24hrs of AV on day #1 release to get exalted, then took a break, then double ranked the last two weeks. SO for some people I was under their radar and they do not know what my intentions are. But a lot of these people also believe that my intentions should be to rank, get the good gear, and parse high. I just want the gear. I’m guildless by choice and want every opportunity to advance myself as such. I don’t care about absolute perfection, just some far off semblance of it is fine with me.
But I think they also assume I want to get to the efficient cap place and stop for the week. I don’t really, and I’d only do this if I were in 6 min runs all the time. Which is the equivalent of being paid off imo.
There is a lot of politics involved. I know first hand if you absolutely wreck the brackets, things like nobody will buy your auctions or every auction you put up will be undercut.
That forces you to spend more time farming gold from different places and Higher commodity mats or auction incognito. Shunning is another way people try to stop the bracket breaking. Things like that decrease game enjoyment.
No one should really care until you get around 10 or 11. I think it benefits everyone to be a part of the honor cartel so to speak because no one wants to do AV 24/7. You can probably get an invite to a discord if you just ask. It might be easier to get in to a good discord if you are a tank instead of a dps right now though. I think some (read: the top rank 12-14 only discord) require Parses for DPS because they just have too many dps right now.
They do care. I’m rank 7 and the pressure to conform hasn’t stopped because they want me capping at 550 or 600k . Well job well done this week. They have me so pissed off already that I’m logging early and thinking about my options. The entire notion of a cartel to me is a buzzkill.
I decided to go all in on wow because the company I worked for sold themselves to the competition and I was laid off. I made a really nice sum off some real estate and stock markets, so I decided to make this my life. Point being time is meaningless to me and I’m actually enjoying myself in AV 80% of the time.
If they’re truly contacting you to the point of logging off or even contemplating transferring, I would consider that harassment. A quick /report /ignore should fix your problems eventually.
It’s all civil, maybe with the implication that I will alienate myself. Alienate myself from what I’m not sure. I’m already a recluse by choice, but persistent enough to get what I want.
None of the people in the realm of pvp have done squat to help me get what I want in other areas of the game. The best avenue they have to put pressure on me is to appeal to some of their leadership that has helped me in some ways. But I consider any help at this point as mutual. A wash
It’s more the fact that I jumped in to the pvp grind for myself with zero clue of this notion of realms gaming the ladders for the good of all.
It’s all just making me feel self conscious.
A) rank in classic has no correlation to skill, only time sunk
B) nice humble brag
C) noone believes u try to solo snipe premades
D) AV isnt real pvp
Thanks m8, and you are?
The voice of reason in this case
You need a better education if you think that’s reason, and relevant to me. Try harder
Keep it up. I like your style. I too am a loner and resent being told where I belong.
get yours.
