Yes and it’s an awful system, exploiting it to make it suck less does not change.

and the raiders that do 1 bg randomly and get 15hks? SHould we not count them since as you say they are never going to participate in actual ranking

The boosters arent the problem, its the system itself
Implement more spots for b1 and b2, have guaranteed b1 slots regardless of server size.
Allow low pop servers to get r14 dont just pull the rug from under us after a year.
At the very least give us more of a heads up.
This is just cruel.

They are not doing so to intentionally try to inflate numbers, people participating once or twice a week is intended.

To be considered an “exploit” some-one has to have been “exploited.” For something to be considered an exploit, someone has to have gained an unfair advantage over someone else.
Shoving your fingers in your ears and shouting “exploit exploit exploit!” doesn’t make it true.

We cant make hard changes to the programming of a game. Thats the job of a developer. Maybe you missed that part.

Paying gold to other players for the creation of bracket spots was what enabled server PvP communities to play and function together. In a new system where the numbers are mostly finite there will be far less cooperation and server community. Pooling was done in actual classic to fix a flawed system. It is being done now to fix what is still a flawed system. This goes counter to Blizzard’s own philosophy on keeping classic classic. Additionally it ran like this for A YEAR. The majority of the player base that has the PvP rewards befitted from this already.

Hotfixes rarely have this level of consideration
In order to hotfix something, some one had to say this is a problem and we need to devote dev time to fixing it. And in New Age Blizzard fixing rather than investigate the root cause of the issue (bad pvp system) they slapped a band aid on a chopped off leg and smiled at the camera with a thumbs up.
and wonder why the dude with the chopped off leg is complaining.

mages using pathing bugs to aoe entire dungeons - ok
bots tele/flyhacking to every herb - no problem
more bots mass farming dungeons to the point where an orb costs less than 1 plaguebloom on some realms - nothing to see here
pool boosting that helps actual players of any class/faction/realm - “fixed”
glad I’m already done with ranking. I can’t imagine how awful AB is going to be now for casual pvpers.

you just need to look at what each requires. all those bots require accounts=money. pool boosting is done with a single character slot= no new accounts.

As someone who is currently ranking, I find that stupid and unnecessary. Why do it now ? its been around for months. It doesnt impact anyone in a bad way, just makes brackets bigger and helps all the rankers. Why blizzard ? Why ? Players have nothing to do on classic besides raid logging and you are making harder, you are being conterproductive right now, chasing players away. Or do you want to push people to buy multiple accounts now ? I’m pissed.

blizzard showing again how unaware and out of the loop they truly are. If i was Kaivax id be ashamed to even post this garbage. Classic has been at best a 4/10 and this is because of the people in charge of gameplay decisions. Blizzard themselves ruined classic, and TBC will be even worse. GGs blizzard you truly are the dumbest group of people ever. Congrats!

Wow, killing pool parties finally. You make me hope that an AV fix is in the works. Although I’m so done with Classic that all this is really too late, we needed this well over 6 months ago.

Please reconsider this. Just read through these comments. This will greatly decrease the amount of pvp. There’s not a ton to do this late in the game. It makes very little sense to violate #nochanges with this patch so late into classic (phase 5). Pleaseeeeeeeeee
