Got rank 11 on a Ret Pally back in Vanilla lol, so itâs very possible as a solo!
And if no one believes me, here is my Pally from Vanilla!
name checks out.
That is not the point, or how it works.
Whether you need to get 500k honor or 1.5 million honor to be in bracket 1 is entirely up to the players. The system puts players into brackets based on how much honor everyone on your faction is earning or Contribution Points.
So letâs say that people make 500k the cap. Now people with jobs
still have a shot at ranking up past 10 or 11. It will still be hard in the latter ranks, but doesnât require a life ruining schedule.
Then dingus the PVP hero comes along and gets 1.3 million honor. Unless they were already bracket 1 ready to get rank 14, they just screwed everyone including themselves possibly causing some people to derank.
If you are interested look up a Hunter named Longarms from Earthen Ring in Vanilla. He managed to screw everyone out of getting Rank 14 on Alliance for 5 months straight.
My serverâs top contenders for 14 ended up losing it to the kids who paid to have their toons perma played.
Getting Rank 13 back then almost cost me a job, lol. I was going in on 4 hours of sleep near the end.
all it comes down to is if you have the time and if you do. Do you have the will to pvp 18 hours a day 7 days a week for 2-3 months
Size of realm is irrelevant, the honor system promotes ranks as a percentage of the player base. For example R14 might be 0.1% of player base, so if you have 3k population, thatâs 3 people who can be R14 that week.
If you have 30k population, it would be 30 people who can R14.
Ah, a âglass half fullâ type of thought process. I think youâre forgetting that thereâs 29970 other people to contend with besides those top 30 who will be running organized 10man bg farms.
