PVP Queue Timers, and A Cross Realm Battlegrounds Compromise

My compromise is to have cross realm battlegrounds turn off be default. After waiting 15 minutes let the player choose to get bumped into a new queue with a pool of players from other servers who are looking for a battleground. This way healthy servers can still have faction rivalries, but if the queue gets too long players can still find a match.

Interesting idea! I would support that or something similar.

(In the past I had pondered a “no honor or tokens” queue so that people who simply wanted to play could do so without stupid afk’ers and bots. Not suggesting that now just mentioning).

Illidan must of been an abomination, I know some friends moved to illidan in cataclysm and the balance was so huge and icky.

I played on a near balance in classic and it was good, crbg made av crap for me there was so many people afking. Usually I would run into 10+ afkers in shaman cave.

Its entirely possible that we could get servers that easily accommodate numbers high enough, of each faction, to sustain BGs without the need for CRBG or Battle groups. But,… we shall see.

Yep, either way CRBG kinda enables imbalance on servers. If you wanted to do nothing but do bgs then you would roll on a server that is sickly imbalance. Servers like illidan definitely deserved huge que times on the imbalance side.

15 minutes in the queue isn’t long enough, to me, to justify switching to a CRBG system. We waited for an hour or so to get into AV back in the day and it was fine because we were out doing other stuff in the world. I don’t think waiting an hour is too much to ask.

Very true waiting for ques kinda spiced it up a bit, an hour of waiting is worth it as long as you don’t join a bg that’s almost over. I remember gathering and pvping in the world while waiting it was usually very fun to the point where I didn’t bother joining.

Well i’m in favor of servers dedicated to not having cross realm bgs and hope blizzard gives people who want this a choice. PvP realms should always be the exception to having no crbg.

Well I hope there will be a medium realm available with nice faction balance, there were website that used to track server balance by collecting data on people loging into those servers.

So yeah I think that on servers where one faction outnumbers the other, the less dominant faction should be able to dominate in bgs because of fast ques or this is how it should work on pvp realms.

I FREAKING HATE CROSS RELAM BATTLEGROUNDS, IT WAS A CROSS REALM IDEA, AND CROSS REALM DOES NOT BELONG IN CLASSIC. CROSS REALM WAS THE START OF THE PROBLEM WITH WOW. LETS NOT HAVE THIS GARBAGE IN CLASSIC. JUST LEAVE IT OUT!

Warsong gulch ques could be 30 min at the beginning of the game and there would still be no need for cross realm because it gives you more time to world pvp, the whole rush and gush and squat in major cities is very bad for a persons health.

Adding them at the start would definitely be bad, especially with how blizzard is catering to the people who are pve folk.
There should be a balance, the whole realm identity is good because if I want quality pvp I can roll on a server if I don’t want it I can roll on another server.
Its something you don’t get anymore because all the pve people whining about being forced to pvp for pvp gear transmog or something like that.
