If anything, raids should get “raid power”. Gear gets special domination set bonuses while in the raid. Do not let dom sockets work anywhere else outside of raids and just raid gear gets this. Raid gear ilvl caps at 421 with no special weapons or trinkets, just weapons with domination sockets.
No matter how you slice it, splitting raid/M+ gear is a bad idea, and is never going to happen.
It makes it easier for people to try the other out, and they want someone who does both to be more powerful than someone who only does one.
This is the dumbest idea in the history of ideas and tomfoolery.
Imho, “pvp power” should have been left on the cutting room floor. There’s nothing wrong with cross pollination of gear.
That’s where modern WoW gets it wrong. Getting the gear isn’t supposed to be the challenge. It’s what you do with it.
I’m not saying we need raid power, I’m just saying if one is going to become its own thing, it would be raids, since raids want special duper doper powers that don’t fit into other parts of the game well (hence Blizzard disabling certain traits of items by up to 90% in some cases in PvP).
I think the PvP gear split is happening because the devs are realizing that PvP and PvE are basically 2 different games at this point.

Anywho, my take on the whole loot thing is that as long as Blizzard doesn’t make another gavel, I’m mostly fine with how M+ gearing has felt this patch. The nerf to the Hunter bow gives me hope that Blizzard has learned that players don’t want gavel type stuff to exist.
zero hall of fames…zero rank one mythic plus… zero pvp achieves above 1400… yeah you play this game competitively

Yeah, raid special weapons should be closer to Anu-Aszara, Staff of the Eternal instead of Gavel.
why aren’t you wearing the title then, huh? oh right… u expect me to believe that you were once in a guild that got hall of fame but u magically just left for another guild that has no hall of fame?
even if this is true, which i doubt it is… there is no proof u didnt just buy the CE
havent had any CE since BFA, got lots of AOTC meaning you still play the game and try to raid but still cant get CE again

i mean you have no proof that you didnt just buy those CEs… you aren’t in a CE guild anymore, so there is no reason for me to believe that you ever were in one at all

Personally I hate having multiple sets of armour but I see where you’re coming from.
I’d compromise and have separate PvP set, Raid set and Mythic sets but you can “unlock” the sets strength in each mode in a similar style to upgrading mythic gear.
I’d prefer to keep it as is though lol
