I would definitely enjoy something outside of FPS. But every time I wander back into this games PVP it just feels like it’s three on one with stun locks and roots and then just pump the DPS. If people weren’t stunned and rooted, they would actually have to stay on the move and keep fighting. I feel like that’s where the skill level sits. if you can root them in one spot, you really don’t have to move around to keep fighting. You may keep jumping behind them to get out of the way of something, but that happens in every game. I just like the idea of being a moving target and hitting moving targets. but again that’s just my personal preference. That’s pretty much why I stay out of PVP in this game.
Sounds like you’ll be disappointed with most forms of PVP outside of FPS games, because I feel most games that are PVP based have some form of CC, even in games like Rivals they have mini-stuns and CC. How about MOBAs? You play those? Same concept as rivals with mini-stuns and lesser CC compared to WOW… I remember the concept of ESO’s PVP was pretty fun and wasn’t too CC heavy. It’s also been 10-years since I’ve played it lol.
The mini stuns I don’t mind so much. but I can remember as a guardian druid with 10 million health in a battleground being continuously, stunned and rooted in one spot while four people just chopped me to bits over a period of 22 seconds. The fact that I couldn’t move for 20 seconds is the part that bothers me. If you wanna stun me that’s fine but after three seconds I should be able to move and not be stunned immediately again. But again this is just my personal preference and it has nothing to do with anyone else’s enjoyment of the game.

One of the reason I always play tank in pvp on this character is because its not fun getting CC’d and deleted in moments before you can barely do anything. Some classes like MM hunter have some pretty insane bursts that can half your health before you even started doing anything. This way I can actually ya know. Play the game.

Hear me out here. Most of us stopped doing PvP because of the class imbalance or as previously said pre-made groups stomping random teams.
I still play PvP, but admit it gets frustrating when half the team quits if you wipe at Hanger or that particular workshop. People act like you can’t win after losing the first battle. 
Thats the innate problem right there.
How is that a problem?
I enjoy pvp on classic. I think WoW pvp is good, up until about the WoD expansion. WoW’s pvp problem has always been CC, imo. There is to much CC, also, I don’t like standing around for 30 seconds if my character dies. They should probably drop it to 15 seconds, and maybe just move the GY farther away, to compensate.
Blizzard mentionned a new pvp zone in next patch. I wonder what it is and if rewards are tied to it.
If you want to “fix” pvp you make pvp gear 0 ilv, free and only work in instanced pvp.
Anything else is gankers and people who want unfair advantages over others whining.
Easy solution I think is to just disable flight for people in War Mode …
I mean if you have War Mode on, clearly you are looking for a fight, and you are only getting a fight if you are on the ground.
Which is why they should just remove Horde/Alliance factions and have players create their own factions who will then inevitably war with each other - especially if there are scarce resources for the taking.
yeah its really sad days for the casual pvper. The sub just cant even be justified anymore. They wont Fix Epic BG, the only one i like is AV and why is TOL barad not in the rotation? I absolutely detest wintergrasp or anything with vehicles and theres no blacklisting allowed of any kind

SoD tried really hard to make PvP a thing, but it was a laggy and chaotic mess.
I just don’t trust that the devs can ever make it work. (Even though they may have the best of intentions.)
Without strict enforcement of some set of rules/boundaries, you’re going to have a poopstorm.
AV is the best damned battleground in this game by a long ways.
I’ve spent half my life in that BG.
I miss AV weekends so much, hanging in Shat for queue to pop at the Battlemasters!
