PvP Issues Organized Megathread Plea for Aid to Community Council and Blizzard

Seriously, it’s like an impending doom. A death sentence for any meaningful pvp changes outside of tuning for Hero Talents. If we don’t seen changes before TWW launches it’s R.I.P

In regards to world pvp. I think we dont give BFA enough credit. The world quests, invasions, bounties, air drops, assasin buffs, weekly and daily pvp quests etc etc…were relay fun and were well represented by players. There were alot of ppl doing it.

As ive said many times, the most fun ive had in this game was world pvp in nazjatar. The road betveen mezzamere and ali town turned into massive battlefield every single day when the weekly pvp was active. It was awesome. I have no idea why they moved away from this.

Couldn’t agree more BFA WPvP was excellent, the gearing system was a big issue and that is when the major player decline started to hit which has impacted the PvP scene up to today but overall the WPvP was a blast! Especially Naz’jatar!

Couldn’t agree more, most of my PvP friends went to Classic for a while then quit all together. Will The War Within Hero Talents the mobility and CC creep is only going to get worse.

Gearing was terrible in BFA but the World PvP was off the hook! Naz’Jatar was great I know the exact road by Mezzamere you’re talking about. I think part of what made that zone so successful for Wpvp is that it became a BG every hour or so and had PvP vendors. Wish they’d do something like that again.

For real…

Not just there, but random wPvP occurred all over the place. It was a fun side-distraction inbetween waiting for dungeon teammates near a summon stone, doing WQs, waiting on a queue, etc

And the occasional “hostile invasion” in a major city where it was like 60+ Alliance vs 60+ Horde in a spontaneous/unplanned teamfight?

I think a big part of the issue is with the huge decline in players since BFA and SLs Warmode just feels more empty, which is why I was calling for Warmode ON Sharding Adjustments with a 30% increase to player count in current content zones and for Sharding to be removed all together in Legacy Content Zones while both Chromie Time and Warmode are active. During the launch of a new zone or xpac, the Sharding is fine but as content is completed they need to consider making % adjustments, most PvP players don’t just hang out, outside the cities while they’re queing.

Ahh yes those were the days, I member… We used to sack Mezzamere all the time. Shame they never turned that into a BG, sooo much wasted potential…

It would have made sense, WSG, Arathi Basin, Silvershard mines etc, etc. these were all places the Horde and Alliance were fighting over. Battle of Naz’jatar, Strongarde, Darkshore, Silithus, Naz’mir these could have all been BGs.

Premade groups are fine. If you dislike getting farmed in randoms make friends.

Im holding out hope for more pvp, I personally suck at it but have a blast! One day I will make an all mechagnome group and will conquer the pvp world!!!

A Decade-old issue: The coveted MoP Elite red PvP enchants, which then had a requirement of 2200 rating could not, and still cannot be redeemed by most players who had originally obtained them. A proto-Illusion version was purchasable in WoD for 2400, but due to complaints a partial fix was implemented in Legion p.7.3: The old enchant became available to purchase as an illusion with Duelist/Hero achieves dating back to these seasons; however – these were fluid %. based achieves, sometimes being even lower than the original requirement depending on battlegroup (in my case – quite higher). TO THIS DAY, the Glorious Tyranny illusion cannot, but should, be redeemable with any of the following achievements dating from MoP Seasons 12-15 (Oct. 2, 2012 → Oct. 14, 2014): [Just the Two of Us: 2200][Three’s Company: 2200][High Five: 2200][Marshal][General].

A prime example, I’m quite certain they’ve heard about this issue and simply never fixed it. PvP has always been a back burnered afterthought toted as an endgame pillar. When the game was young they had plausible deniability but after soooo many years of neglecting the game mode their lack of effort is apparent.

I’ve actually loved Warmode but I would be down for it staying AND getting a pvper server.

That’s fine. War mode can stay in normal servers. I’ve personally experienced too many issues in war mode and it’s ruined retail for me. Currently playing on lone wolf (pvp server) on SoD. Going to stay for as long as I can or until retail gets a pvp server
