Bg Blitz is at least 400 rating easier than solo shuffle. But Blitz is just random bg with rating, I rather play dota…
And you’re not taking into account spam healing.
Nobody is interested in a mode in which there are only cosmetic rewards, Blizzard gives out the best quality cosmetics for free, and in pvp you need to defeat p1 players.
Guess I just imagined people doing challenge modes in MoP and WoD
Then I wrote that Blizzard gives out the best quality cosmetics just for logging into the game, in pvp the cosmetics are terrible and not unique.
Cosmetics were not unique before, but equipment was useful in all types of content before DF.
I hate to say it because I really want to enjoy this game, but do what everyone else does and just play the last two weeks of each season. People actually queue up because the god awful mmr deflation is removed.
This is a super common misunderstanding.
There is ZERO deflation. None.
There is just less inflation due to people making complaint threads and not queueing exactly like they’re doing. People don’t realize that they would directly inflate the ladder if everyone just pressed queue.
However, because of myriad factors from balance, fun factor, playing other parts of the game, and the perception that it’s easier later, people just queue less often until the last two weeks.
I’d be super cool if blizzard removed inflation all together, but then a lot of players would be VERY angy that rewards are harder for them to get.
Just come to pvp classic servers with me today at 2:00 pm PST
Cannot do that while CCed, I know you haven’t had to use it in a long while as you can just wait for deep dampening to carry you but that toxic playstyle needs to die and skill actually needs to be used to beat a healer.
PVP is harder than PVE and most people just want to hop on, goof around and get some stuff done. That’s why PVP isn’t popular.
hpals are always so freaky
I disagree.
The problem is that pvp shouldn’t have a large barrier of entry. That’s why most MMO’s pvp sucks. There shouldn’t be a massive gear grind. It should be simplified. That’s why most good pvpers have played the game for 5-10 years and there’s no new blood coming in. That’s why pvp consistently dies more and more every expansion.
Wow pvp has the playerbase and loyalty to potentially become huge, but they keep wasting time catering towards dying standard and not adpating to the younger generation.
Gearing for PVE is considerably more involved than PVP but PVE has no population issues.
People expect to gear grind in pve. You’re playing against bots.
PVP you’re playing against people, who shouldnt have an advantage because of gear. It should be an even playing field, apples and oranges.
How we stop the hard casted cc how exactly?
Oh we can go away from dampening, that only helps me. So you can shove your snarky comment right up the
The same way we did in TBC and Wraith before we had a million insta-cast micro CC/displacement abilities. LoS, interrupts, and good positioning.
I totally agree with this, I just think when you can be mediocre and farm KSH/AoTC or you can get your teeth kicked out by RandomGlad4U69 on his 3rd meta reroll of the season, one content is likely to be the more fun to play.
Let’s tone down the rhetoric that pve players are mediocre.
Most good pve players use their whole skillbar in mythic plus.
Problem is in pvp, there’s too much going on to have that many buttons. This creates a nonsensical barrier of entry.
Please tell me a PVP game that has that much button bloat and is succesfful.
You know dampening didn’t originally start until end of, like, MoP iirc.
Something you’re forgetting too though is how long some of those matches were in tbc and wrath.
I’m aware the reason I specifically picked those two expansions is because it was back before everyone got enhance survivability options, rogues didn’t have self healing, hunters didn’t have a bubble, mages/ pally forberance/hypothermia lasted 2 minutes meaning they tended to get 1 block/bubble a game, etc etc.
The crazy long games you are thinking of tended to happen from Cata onward after survivability got buffed. While they could occur they where not nearly as common as they became once everyone got the ability to negate and prevent damage.
