Really. I tried this the other day and waited 15 minutes in queue as alliance and then got steamrolled by a horde premade that was queuing up for the fast wins. I didn’t even have time to do my quests - pretty sure that was one of the fastest AVs I have ever been in and I have done plenty of normal ones.
It’s like trying to state what raiding is like only having done LFR. You haven’t even experienced it yet. You certainly can’t make a definitive statement like ‘it’s just as formulaic as a raid boss’. Even common sense should tell you that fighting 3 other humans with their own set of 20-30 abilities is exponentially more dynamic than even the most convoluted bossfight.
It’s fun for some people, and boring for other people. That’s like a PvPer not understanding why people like raiding and doing M+. I don’t like PvP too much anymore either since Blizzard removed a lot of skill from it after mass pruning so many classes.
