No sorry. Blizz tells us every year they’ll make some “fixes” to PVP but that never happens. For years, YEARS we pure PVPers have been waiting for those changes and every single patch/release you let us down. That is why the mass exodus of millions of pure PVPers left several years ago. They got more frustrated than I did, and I stupidly held on thinking you’d hold true to your word.
So after 14 years of this game, begging every year since the PVP vendors were pulled to bring them back, to have SOME SEMBLENCE of PVP balance, we get a big middle finger from Blizzard.
Enough is enough. We get disappointed every patch/release by broken promises. I am not waiting for another patch or release. I now follow the trail of the millions of PVPers before me have done.
Every single dam year and nothing ever happens. We just keep going backwards. This isn’t hard… is not rocket sciences and we have voiced what needs to happen.
PvP content rewards PvP gear that is good for PvP… pve content which is way more than PvP rewards pve items that are useful in pve. Keep one away from the other. Pvers cry when forced to PvP for rewards and they are right but I don’t see why rewards should be easier to obtain doing pve only to then be used in PvP. It makes PvP rewards useless and forces ppl to do something they don’t want.
PvP resilience was a good idea… scaling in wod was a good idea… what happened?
Lastly… balance PvP around every PvP system you offer and not just arena 3’s. Can’t? Take everything but 3’s our of the dam game then… don’t offer systems that aren’t balanced properly. We want quality and not quantity.
I am not pushing rating this season, the rewards suck, and the “Participation” reward, doesn´t scale with Rating so… useless, Emissary quest gives BETTER gear and even with a chance to Warforge / Titanforge. I mean, EVEN the Supplies that a freaking plane just drops mid air has given me 425 lvl, because of Titanforge. Your PVP “Reward” system, fuccking sucks.
So I last played in 2012. I saw the game was still going so I logged in and found I still have my 5 characters. All at level 50 (cap level is 70 now). Took me a couple days to get my Shadow to level 70.
You can PVP below level 70 and you’ll end up with a bunch of 4v4 matches. Granted not everyone joins on either side (or gquit the match if we’re losing). It’s the best of 3 too. That’s a quick way to level if you do not want to do the quests.
There’s a lot of new features too such as your own “House” that you can decorate which is cool.
No matter what your gear is, if you jump into level 70 your gear scales up to the others. You probably won’t top damage without the best gear, but you don’t have to worry too much about grinding gear. The game makes it easy to gear up.
I’m going to level up my outlaw next, then my Jedi Night and a few others. I’m having fun and not stressed about PVP.
I also play SWtoR. The combat system is virtually identical to WoW so its an easy transition. They tried to copy the wow gearing system of RNG, but have basically scrapped it. The gear scaling you mentioned is called bolster, if you dont have a pvp item in that slot, the system puts the PvP stat, their version of resilience, on there. Currently getting BiS is very very difficult and time consuming. If you are going to play, i would wait till September when the new XPac drops which is going to be leaps and bounds better than what they have now. And yes you can buy PvP gear. And yes there are arenas, 4v4.
the PvP is very fun. On top of that, they are adding abilities, not taking them away. Casters actually have to cast and melee doesnt have 100% uptime, crazy right???
I play Jedi Sentinel, Sage and Imperial Juggernaut. All great and very fun classes.
I have lost count of the days i have been stranded on the PVP gearing system, i have opened countless chests containing only rings. Remembering the last words the devs spoke about someone buying a ring instead of a weapon, couldn´t help to smirk to the situation.
PVP player out.
i mean just add in vendors and honor grind along with rating incentives right? making the game the same how it was for 8-10 years will change all the current issues with wow…totally not being sarcastic or anything
