I’m cool with the current system. However, make the honor cost less per item for casuals on upgrading. It’s a slug fest to upgrade everything to duelist from rank 1 atm.
Good change: make all conduits obtainable in the pvp vendor max I level and all pvp items scale above pve gear in pvp.
What effect would having PVP gear above 262 (Unranked) scale down to Unranked ilvls (262) within Random unrated PVP settings?
Keeping rated (in rated) gear progression where it is, not to disrupt the industry.
It is puzzling why there are not adamant adjustments to these obvious outliers.
Off topic but not, this recent Elden Ring patch (a few weeks in) hammered pretty much everything in one shot. Smaller companies can do it.
I haven’t played it much like 30 hours but I enjoy the game. I started over though as I didn’t really like a faith build and going bandit as intellect arcane has some interesting stuff I found on my first attempt at the game.
NA is very meta orientated with builds, aka content creators.
One thing that has always been cool (souls/borne), is when outside the box builds get discovered.
Back in the old days, the difference between a fully bg geared character and a fully arena geared character was 20k-24k HP… Now it’s 55k vs 90k and double the damage. The gearing system isn’t the problem, it’s the ilvl gap.
It’s actively discouraging me from playing alts and spending more time in the game.
Lol, what a blatant piece of lying elitist scum you are. The base cost of full set of honor gear is 11,200 (not upgraded). Adding the 1,750 cost to full upgrade each piece (26,250), that a total of 37,450 honor you need to earn… keeping in mind you don’t have gear yet and are worthless having half the stats as opponents with gear. So in these conditions (let alone already having gear), you are telling me you have earned 37,450 honor in less than a week!? Even if 1 week (7 days), at winning 100 honor per arena win, you have to win 53 arenas each day and you’re saying you did this in less than 7 days and with only 2 hours a night. LOL. What absolute scum you are.
I’d say someone (especially not geared all) would hope to get maybe 10 wins in a night. And they need 10 arena wins earned each night for 37 days… Could play every single night getting 10 wins and would still take over 5 weeks… And that’s simply to get caught up to where most are already at who are raising their arena rating to then be able to get higher level conquest gear in which you then need to defeat them and manage to increase your rating against these people who already out stat you by a significant portion.
It’s an incredibly poor system that not only takes entirely too much time to gear for, but severely punishes you for being behind making it a terrible experience and VERY not new player/alt character friendly AT ALL. You’re a mindless, careless, ignorant, selfish, elitist troll if you truly believe this system isn’t garbage and killing the community. It may only seem good if you happen to be ahead and able to maintain, but that’s a clear minority. And great, maybe you have 1 class that can play competitively… well good look having hopes of enjoying playing any other class. The system is doing a great job of not allowing players to actually play the game and have fun.
If that’s the factor, it’s still the wrong answer. A terrible system that pushes away a large number of people by having a huge wall to overcome just to play and making it a horrible experience and NOT fun, makes people quit and unsub = no money. There can be all the grind in the world for those that want it OUTSIDE of PVP content. So that everyone wanting grind as content can have it without suffocating and outcasting all the people who want to be able to enjoy the PVP content and NOT INSANE GRIND + Rating based gear making it extremely difficult to catch up. If Blizzard values the almighty dollar, they’re doing it wrong. They’re bleeding subs from a whole group of people when it’s unnecessary. They’re killing a whole community of people who want to PVP for fun by making it not accessible at all for new players/alts. Allowing an entirely separate and additional group of players to be happy and want to play the game = more subs. It’s not a battle of which group of players to make happy, while throwing the other away (PVPers)… everyone can be satisfied.
Yeah - Maybe you didn’t notice this is the battlegrounds forum. I don’t know why you’re going on about arena. I got my honor running random BG’s and Epic BG’s.
I have rolled 2 sets of identical class and specs on Alli/ Horde side. I have 2 Hunters and 2 Rogues. It was much easier to evolve identical toons so I could experience each faction and feel I had some relevance.
I also have one of every class on various servers. None of these other alts get the same attention because I can’t give them the same time commitment. Throw in time and grind-gating and my stable has become a museum.
Ayo! Those 40 player Epic premades in voice farming GY’s (60mins) while sitting in vehicles makes a difference. Right.
You know, I’m not so sure of that. Given the bonus honor for a win, I’m not so sure that farming for an hour in 1 BG really gives more honor than say 3 quick wins in the same amount of time.
So you say, “MMORPG” = only progression is gear progression and PvP “competition” should not involve skill, merely demonstration that you got the best gear. It’s like an asmongold mount-off, but somehow less fun.
