In Guild Wars 2 you can PvP with all gear and talents unlocked starting at level 2. I enjoy WoW PvP much more, but it is much less accessible. Bring back MoP gearing.

Iâm in a minority on my point of view that alts should be hard to play. Start with Dr. Seuss and work your way up to.
Iâm not sure this was the witty riposte you think it was. The system youâre defending literally reinforces your admittedly minority viewpoint on what the status quo should be for alts. Nice?

lmao imagine there being 12 classes to choose from and youâre being forced to play 1 class that you donât find appealing anymore. idk whatâs worse that mind set or the current gearing system

If they removed the 100k honor grind and made it idk like 10k to upgrade everything, then removed all the other trash like legendary armor, covernants and soulbinds and let all of it scale to max pvp would be 10000% better.
Rated ladder would have more players, less people would burn out, people could play alts etc. Alts make the PVP ladder so enjoyable for everybody its a pro for all players.
Secondary required PVE systems plus the huge honor grind is just 360 no scoping the pvp community.

Im with you, this mind set is just gatekeeping and toxic. Alts are a huge benefit to queue times, diversity of classes in the ladder, etc. Its a huge benefit to everybody playing.

I find this very hard to believe most people âhave a main, and there alt is the exact same classâ. Gonna need some kidna proof of that because i have not heard of that happening since arena teams was a thing in WOTLK.

Canât be too many of them. What would be the point?
Playing with different people/playing different factions/playing different brackets/running a different stat, lego, cov build/hit a rating and want to play from zero again/playing with friends alts etc

Itâs more of a thing if youâre doing rated, especially if your friend group has wildly varying skill levels. Back when I still did rated PvP, I had a few priests for playing with different people. One was for mainteam 3s, one for playing with alts/lesser experienced people in 3s, one for fooling around in 2s with friends that didnât PvP much on a different faction etc⊠Also have to take faction into account, if you play with people on both factions you will probably have an alt for each or multiple alts for multiple purposes on each faction.

Which feels like a drag when expansions last 2 years a piece with permanent âphilosophiesâ.
I am excited though. Once we get (wrath for a lot of players) Cata classic we wonât have to worry about retail. Weâll definitely play retail if itâs FAIR and fun. If retail isnât fair then we can drop from it and run to Classicâs until the retail expansion ends, rinse and repeat.

Yeah very much so. I respect other peoples way of playing, but this viewpoint is totally off point when Blizz actively encourage alts at the low end of the game.

Yeah, but there is only one expansion I hated. Maybe you are the ones out of touch? These forums are just a collection of whiners that get really old really fast.

Itâs easy to be in the minority on topics when 4/5ths of the people here are terrible or bitter that they have to try. Forums are a place for dissatisfied customers.
Reviews are generally negative for the same reason. People enjoying a product are usually using it.

I can tell you one thing, you certainly are not in the minority. You apparently donât PvE or PvP but like to complain about the game. Typical GD poster right there.
