PvP balance

You may have been playing since 2004, like many of us have. That still doesn’t change the fact a lot of what you are proposing is stupid and would ruin class dynamics. If you want perfectly balanced gameplay, go play retail. They have balanced the fun out of that game and you want them to do that to this game too. Unreal

I think we have found the motivation behind this post. Someone got farmed one too many times by a rogue in their last bg. Now hes going to make a scene on the forums stomping his feet and flailing his hands around. It’s ok dude the bad rogue is gone now, nothing is going to hurt my big little man again.

I can’t help but think this is biased given that you’re a class with almost no CC.

Knowing when to stun / fear / interrupt is generally considered a very high skilled part of the game. I will grant you this iteration, where diminishing returns and ridiculously long CCs are in the game aren’t ideal, but nuking them into oblivion isn’t the solution either.

How about nouu. I’ll have a hard cider followed by a hard nouu. 2 sec isn’t even long enough to cast most spells… Most classes have ways to avoid ccs. You are just a BUM. If you don’t know what most classes can do, and can’t react to that, then you shouldn’t be making suggestions for pvp.

Why are you so hung up on imp gouge? Most rogues are not even running imp gouge since they are playing daggers. And it isn’t even a guaranteed reset either. it’s 5.5 sec duration and combat timer is 6… So unless you have los to reset you prolly won’t get a restealth off a gouge. Also can be dodge parry blocked.

0.o… I mean, unless you’re not going for the extra 30% crit on mutilate / backstab, you’re going to need 5 points into combat anyways.

gives you time to get distance as well, but you’re right, there is that little wiggle room.

Yep pretty sure i mentioned that.

Just mentioning it because it’s a strong alternative when blind is down.

The only thing I’d agree with is giving Polymorph, Sap, and Frost Trap a hard 10 second cap on enemy players. Everything else is fine.

Oh and 2 minute trinkets ffs.

Just say you don’t pvp. Half of your changes are about CC which isn’t even close to being the issue with SoD pvp.

The problem is that the burst is just WAY out of control. Pretty much every class can 100-0 someone inside 2 globals, this is SLIGHTLY mitigated by PvP gear’s added stamina, and the “in BG” changes. However, there is almost 0 incentive to PvP once you’ve gotten the r13 gear, and it has (unlike normal classic) limited applications in PvE.

World PvP, what was possibly my favorite part of Vanilla / Classic, is in a horrible state, whoever opens basically wins.

Stuns are pretty much the only problamatic CC atm, but again its because damage is out of control, if you get stunned there is VERY limited counterplay and a good chance you are just dead, when people are hitting 2-7k buttons on 4k healthbars.

Bloodfang made the killing people in stuns thing far worse. 20% extra MH damage for 4 set, and 2 set gives you an energy free attack every time you open / reset / proc ambush… Pretty silly.

This would be a buff for Mages considering most sheeps break in PvP before 10 sec. But I’m sure you already knew that since you suggested this :slight_smile:

Yes it’s horrible because “pvp” is the mini game of classic. We scale the game from pve standpoints and if that causes issues to “pvp” then so be it. People play this game for end game raiding not griefing in battlegrounds. You want pvp go do arenas in war within or cata! Hope you have a great day Sweetcreme :people_hugging:
