Yeah nothing’s been said on account to account transfers, I hope that they do allow it I know of multiple people in my guild that have both Alliance and Horde accounts and raid on both.

Irrelevant to the point really. If you piss somebody off they now have a way to track you. It’s unbelievably toxic and not at all what the devs intended.
He missed one part of the announcement and you made a mountain of it.
Not having to scroll past useless bickering is everyone’s business. Just be on topic and leave the rest out of it. And don’t even bother to @ me further, I won’t play.
There always was, it just required another sub.
Or asking in the server discord.
Or a player detection addon, which everyone seems to have now.

Realistically, plenty of people have had a legitimate trouble with not being able to reroll on a server they started the other faction on in the past. Don’t want to be that faction anymore but can’t just delete what you hold attachment to. Real example, I have a friend who couldn’t play Bene alliance because he would have had to delete his old Bene horde characters first. So he ended up moving his alliance to Grobb instead.
The consolidation of servers leaving us with even less choices would have made that limitation suddenly a very big issue for those trying to find a good home for their characters on both factions before the deadline.
So the design intent now is to let everyone land freely wherever they wish.
Like for me regardless of faction there’s only one choice right now, Grobb because it’s 50/50. If they happened to close Sulfuras I would have to consider moving my horde here.

How many subs have multiple accounts right now? 20% maybe? Probably a lot lower than that.
This change will give everyone access to this tracking. Terrible idea.
I’m unsure why you think this is a bad idea. Having different faction characters was introduced in original WOTLK. The concerns you speak of are simply circumvented by having two subscriptions at the moment which is well within the realms of almost everyone who plays this game.

They originally changed this because they added the faction change service. Which they’ve been adamant about not adding to Classic LK.

Why do you say this?
Pagle and Mankrik are artificially held in place due to the PvE to PvP restriction. The best guilds, biggest recruitment populations, and most robust economies are on the megaservers, and many people are only on Mankrik and Pagle because that is the only option available to them barring abandoning their mains they’ve played since day 1. I imagine they will bleed out slowly and become med/low pop servers soon enough.
