They won’t.

“I want to play with muh friends” maybe you should’ve rolled on your friends’ server instead of playing on a different one? Lol. Heck, you still can, so do it.

Besides, why would you want to transfer from PvE to PvP? You people are the types that would whine about getting killed in wPvP anyway.

They should because blizzard only cares about dollar bills and this is leaving a none zero amount on the table

Have you considered the possibility that people have more than one 70 character? I already have a 70 on a pvp server where my friends are, but also have a 70 on a PvE server which I don’t play on since none of my RL friends are there. So basically one of my characters is collecting dust on a server I’m not playing on because of a stupid restriction

Make some friends on your PvE server. Find a good guild that you can do content with. Still not good enough of a reason to remove the restrictions.

Why do you care so much that this stupid restriction stays? Are you just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing?

I’m not going to keep track of 2x different raiding schedules on 2x different servers. I can’t transfer items between the characters, ie pots etc. I can’t keep track of LFG channel and switch characters if I see someone looking for a role my other character can fill… And all for what? To keep an outdated restriction?

You created a thread just to link 2 other already existing threads about same topic…

The restrictions are there because, simply put, it’s easier to level on a PvE server than it is on a PvP server. You don’t have to worry about the world PvP threat because it’s not there in PvE servers, so your leveling is more efficient overall. It’s unfair to those who’ve had to endure the additional PvP hardships if the restrictions are lifted… and that’s it right there, man. You can continue to whine and whine and whine about it, but your tears are gone in the wind.

This is a problem of your own making. Maybe your buddies should’ve rolled on your PvE server instead of playing on a PvP server? Or maybe you could’ve just bit the bullet and rerolled entirely on said PvP server? Or… if you want to continue playing your 70 on your PvE server, then I guess you’ll just have to be in two different guilds dealing with said inconveniences of being on two different servers. Just because you’re complaining doesn’t mean you’re going to get your way.

Sounds to me like you just get a kick out of disagreeing with people for the sake of it. The whole levelling on PvE is easier argument is no longer relevant since you pay for a boost to 58, or you can just level on servers like Skeram and then transfer to a different pvp server, without being ganked once.

It is relevant though since that’s the reason why the transfers aren’t allowed to begin with. Of course you can server-hop between low pop and high pop to avoid getting ganked as often. Of course you can just boost your way up and not worry about a good portion of world PvP affecting you. The point is the threat is still there; these options don’t entirely negate it, and that’s why the restriction will remain.

There are single-faction “pvp” servers out there with like 100 remaining active players on them. You are less likely to get ganked on those than you are on populated PvE servers. Plus they removed this restriction in wrath, so clearly it didn’t matter all that much.

I’d say allowing lvl 58 boosts is far more detrimental to the game than allowing PvE to PvP transfers, but they did it anyway because $$$ takes precedent.

With how dead the old world is on even more populated servers, you can quest with pretty much no risk of ganking what so ever.

I agree with this much. I don’t think the majority of Classic players were happy with the 58 boosts being added.

I’d pay just as much at this point truth be told.

As would I to be honest

NO WAY! When Classic went live we all leveled killing each other fighting days and days weeks of Horde Vs Alliance battles all whilst you PVE carebears galloped around skipping and leveling up farming gold and doing dungeons!

No F-ing WAY! You rolled Care Bear you stay on Care Bear!

As much as I want this to happen, there’s obviously some friction preventing them from doing it. That, or they are keeping it in the tank for phase 3 or beyond if things start getting slow again. I really don’t see a valid reason as to why this cant or shouldn’t be allowed but w.e. And to the guy who said this was added in Wrath, this was added at the end of TBC about 1-2 months before WOTLK prepatch.

If Blizzard truly considers leveling on a pvp server to be the reason why they don’t allow PvE → PvP transfers perhaps they can open up the transfers if you level another character on the server you want to move to.

But for real. There are PvP servers that are almost 100% one faction. There are level 58 boosts in the game. The restriction on transferring is meaningless in TBC Classic.

I kind of agree with this but the problem is that around 80% of the players on PVP servers right now should have rolled PVE because they don’t want to deal with the hassles of world fighting and they would be happier just being on a PVE server. That’s why players (both horde and alliance) are faction stacking on PVP servers.

I think you’re joking anyway but I just wanted to say that.
