Continuing the discussion from Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary Edition Phase 2 PTR Development Notes:
Since they are doing this for PVE people, can we please make it so you can buy S1 gear for honor? Would be great for people making alts or starting a different faction entirely. They could pick up the game at phase 2 and not be too behind.
This would be the best TBC in TBC history if they do it correctly.

i want to be able to make a brand new character and be up to par in the upcoming season and grind honor gear to completely be competitive in arena in season 2.

Blizzard saw the success of P1 and nerfed content and of course is making P2 nerfed as well.

no, that’s season 3 you are able to get season 1 glad gear for free.
The slightest amount of googling could have shown you that.
What you want is to have the rating requirement removed from weapons and shoulders, since that’s not how TBC was before you existed here.
If you’re basing this off the lack of vendors on PTR, they probably just haven’t started the arena season yet. There’s usually about a week (sometimes longer) gap between seasons where vendors and points are in a weird state.
Once Season 2 actually starts in Phase 2, Season 1 Gladiator gear should move to the Honor vendors like it did originally.
Google and people are saying that S1 gear was was not dropped for honor untill Season 3 though. Season 2 just allows you to get a discount on S1 gear for arena points though.
I could be wrong hell I always bailed on this game shortly after TBC and came back when WOTLK came around each and ever time. But this is what people are saying.
Season 1 gear WILL NOT be available for honor until season 3 unless they make a NEW announcement with a new patch changing this. That is how it originally was

The S1 glad gear is still relevant, so it still costs AP in S2.
It’s S3 where the gap between P1 honour gear and S3 glad gear becomes too wide, and thus S1 glad gear is reduced to the cost of honour (free).

There was no arena rating on S1 or S2 either, so hopefully blizz removes that as well.
It is literally that simple to make the pvp community happy. Easiest bone of the century lol. Every season they will see an increase in lvl58boost sales aswell since you can make a new character and just farm honor for previous set and jump right into Arena.
