Which you still do quite a lot of in PvE mind you.
Just saying, if your going to imply that dying is a net positive, PvE has that going as well.

A - to the - MEN. In person it is probably a complete introvert - trolls people on internet forums for a superior feeling methinks.
Honestly, its like the best part of retail, without retail.
I just donât understand why you PVE switchers feel the need to gather some forum validation. Youâre not going to convince people who call you carebears that youâre having a better time than them, that youâre playing a more âproperâ WoW. Itâs almost like they actually got to you.
Didnât need to switch, I understand what life can become on a PVP server. That is all the incentive any rational person needs.
If I want to chill and level fishing listing to my favorite songs, I can. Donât have to worry about a rogue popping up and destroying me while I have a fishing pole equipped.
If I see a flower, I can go gather it, without having to kill or be killed to get it.
If I want to run an instance, I can, without having to deal with the death squads farming honor.
If I am in a group going after a world boss, I dont have to worry about it becomming even more of a challenge.
Or if I wanna just hang out in the open world and BS with my friends, I can without worry of being ganked.
AND, when I want to mix it up (when I get to max level), I can flag up and go at it. But when I grow tired of that, I can unflag and go about my merry way.
If any of what I said sounds appealing to you, or you simply cant deal with the other side of these examples, you should be on a PVE server.
It really is that simple.
Nothing wrong with playing on a PvE server. Having said that the true form of WoW is a PvP server. There is nothing more immersion breaking than not being able to attack the opposite faction in a game based on faction warfare.
So for those that care about immersion, story, and realism aspects of the game, PvE servers would not be the best choice. Happy you guys found somewhere to play that you enjoy.
My vanilla server was Khadgar PvE.
That âtrue formâ is just an opinion. If that were the case the pve servers would not have existed at release. Both servers are the true form of wow they just require you to have a different mindset/play style. That doesnt make one better than the other.
No⌠faction warfare⌠you canât attack a human as an orc on a PvE server without enabling PvP⌠this literally goes against everything this franchise is about.
No it doesnt. Again that is your opinion, by the creation of ânormalâ servers and pvp servers blizz allowed the game to be played 2 different ways from the very beginning.
This franchise has never always been about horde vs alliance, they have had major villains in this game that required both factions to work with each other to defeat.
you do realize that a large chunk of players wouldnât play at all if there was no opt out forced wpvp right? i can still queue for bgs on my pve server. it has no downsides. if you want to gank and be ganked have fun with that, but donât pretend like youâre playing the real wow because pve servers have existed since the start.
â Four years have passed since the mortal races banded together and stood united against the might of the Burning Legion. Though Azeroth was saved, the tenuous pact between the Horde and the Alliance has all but evaporated. The drums of war thunder once again. â
2 minutes of faction warfare
Not going to sit here and argue with you, the game is entirely based around faction warfare and yes common enemies. Faction warfare is why you use the flightpaths you use, itâs why the cities are where they are, itâs why the map is the way it is.
Also at no point did I insult PvE servers, I played on one in vanilla. I am simply saying that for full immersion you must play on a PvP server.
you do realize that phase 2 is a hot mess it is because vanilla had the same thing where pvp was an afterthought and bgs didnât exist for months? bgs and arena are real pvp. roaming gank squads is griefing and trying to ruin another players day.
Retail whinebaby confirmed, also defensive about server identity.
youâre calling me names because i disagree with you? thatâs cute.
You donât disagree with me, you have an inherently biased perspective on the game because you are bad. There is no âreal PvPâ⌠itâs just PvP.
youâre calling me bad because i donât do wpvp? i do WM all the time on my alliance on retail. but i get to choose when i want to do it. the closest thing to WM in classic is a pve server. i can still opt into wpvp if i want to on my server, i am not forced to log because someone wants to camp me for an hour.
I didnât call you bad until you insulted world pvp and claimed it wasnât real PvP, it is real PvP, itâs as real as it gets.
Just because you donât participate or donât want to participate in something doesnât mean that it is flawed or false.
do you think youâll be able to get high warlord or whatever the alliance equivalent is by camping fps next week? because blizz wanted bgs to be the way people grind honor. hence REAL pvp. the rewards are for people who do bgs. just like in retail the good rewards are to people who do ranked arena. thatâs just the way it is. blizz made it that way, not the players.
You have no idea what blizzard wanted, you are super condescending and have convinced no one of your skewed perspective
can you get max rank from wpvp once bgs are released? no? thatâs by design. also in retail can you get mythic raid equivalent gear from WM? no? you have to do gladiator level arena? i didnât design this though. blizzard did.
