PvE gear should not out perform PvP gear

Resilience also made it where a Shield that can protect you against the very blows of an Ancient evil God couldn’t deflect some generic issue mace and just let you be crushed by an ordinary grunt.

PvP stats are anti-RPG. If you want CoD style gameplay, play CoD. This is an RPG.

PvP stats are not “anti-RPG”.

PvP gear should be good for PvP, and PvE gear should be good for PvE, thus showing a need for a PvP stat.

PvE players should not be #1 in PvP simply because of their gear and vice versa.

This has literally nothing to do with a first person shooter…

They literally are.

That’s literally anti-RPG. It’s more akin to FPS loadouts than a RPG.

PvE players that are #1 in PvP are wearing PvP gear right now.

If your god slaying blade isn’t able to kill a mere grunt, guess what, you’re not playing a RPG.

The fact you are using absolutely no logic to defend your opinion is actually insane to me. It’s clear you have no idea how RPG’s work in the first place so I’m done replying here. Thank you

I am using logic.

The logic that a Legendary sword should slice through a grunt if it can slice through a God.

PvP stats go against that.

Ergo, PvP stats are anti-RPG.

That’s logic.

I’ve never really played any other RPG where the most powerful sword in the game suddenly went blunt when encountering the lowest ranked soldier of an opposing faction. And I’ve been playing RPGs since the 80s.

If you are getting crushed by “grunts” because you dont have gear to carry you, that sounds like a you problem.

PvPing in MoP with 0 resilience got you crushed, regardless of skill.

No, it’s a PvP stat problem. No PvP stats = getting crushed in PvP in Mists.

Gear from the main game should always be better than that from a side game.

Lol why would you have zero? You PVPing naked or something?
Those grunts take your gear?

To clear this up, no, PvP power and resilience is not “Anti-RPG”

They’re stat weights, that have an effect on your character.

Same with crit.

Vers.

Mastery

Haste.

Multi strike

Hit chance

Spel pen.

Expertise.

All stat weights, having an individual affect on the character providing usefulness in different situations, for different reasons.

Pvp power, doesn’t find itself off this list, so no, Once again, it is not Anti RPG.

Because everyone starts somewhere.

A raider deciding to do some PvP in Mists started at 0 on the gear ladder pretty much.

No, the game designer made it so gear that can go toe to toe with literal gods couldn’t harm and defend against low level grunts.

PvP stats in a nutshell.

I get it, most of you PvPers don’t like RPGs.

And? Thats how gear works my dude.

The best part about this is, look at your server then look at my server.

Yes, they are. If a blade that can kill a god cannot kill a grunt, that’s very anti RPG.

“This stat only has an effect in PvP” is pretty anti-RPG. A sword should be a sword.

That work regardless of your target. PvP stats do not.

Yes, because a weapon with 0 PvP Power meant you were a sitting duck in PvP in Mists, even if that weapon could be used to defeat Lei Shen.

People are not NPC’s.

Idk given how some pvpers talk to others you would think otherwise.

There has never been a time pve geared players couldn’t be comparative against pvpers. And gods in wow are very much killable by a variety of ways.

Pvp gear being designed for the purpose of killing other heroes of the horde
And alliance. RP element clear as day.

No, meant you *couldn’t just steamroll people * You were never a sitting duck.

And lei shen, again, is very much just another killable being.

Heroes who constantly have combat experience against these beings, would never go down as easy.

So again.

Not anti RPG, as everybody else has stated.

In an RPG game world, both are equivalent.

Sorry you dislike RPGs.

Yes there was, when we had PvP stats. Good riddance to anti-RPG mechanics.

There’s nothing special about “heroes of the Horde”. They’re just grunts and soldiers, same as that NPC Orc.

An Orc is an Orc is an Orc.

This guy really just said this, wild.

Nothing wild about an Orc just being an Orc. Be it a player controlled Orc or a computer controlled Orc.

That’s what RPGs are. Sorry you don’t like RPGs.

I assure you, no one playing as an Orc is a Orc in real life.
