Kinda hard for it succeed when they intentionally set it up to fail. It feels like they are trying to make it as bad as possible so they never have to do it again.
They’ll have this, and point back going “SEE, WE DID TRY”, when we all full well know this was a poison pill to the concept that they intentionally placed.
Or they can get off their high horse and deliver on the promises they set out on initially, and refused to communicate 3 months of direction changes over until the moment it was too late to flip course.
I don’t see them becoming any less intransigent. The only thing to do is stop playing or engaging in the content.
My goal is to finish 3k io next week and hang up my hat for the season. It’s done. This season was over the second they announced the flawed dinar system.
The unsub was already tossed in minutes ago on my end. If I need an extra month for 3k, I’ll pay in gold. They’ve lost my business until something of an olive branch is extended.
Between this and the rogue changes for this entire patch being 2 lines in all of the class tuning that’s been done since 11.1.0 released, I’m just fed up with the entire company doing nothing for their players.
Eh, with the cartel chips, at worst, they would have done nothing. The final implementation is going to shift it in that direction for a lot more players than if it’d been the DF implementation, but personally I don’t feel like I’ve ‘lost’ anything out of this development. It’ll just be like any other season to me.
No, at worst they design them in such a way that is exclusively beneficial to players who are either not playing their characters, or who are mythic raiding.
Basically. I usually do AOTC, a few easy Mythic raid bosses and shoot for highest keystone level that has rewards (hopefully before MDI and people think they’re as good as MDI players).
I was actually looking forward to pushing higher this season but this just killed it for me. There are better games to play.
On that note, I do take more issue with how timegated the actual content in this patch is. It’s just the Cartel Chips that’re like…well, I’m still going to get everything out of the season I would’ve gotten otherwise, so I’m not that worried about if they wind up not being that useful to me.
I just worry that the next iteration will be worse. That and the outrage if they were to announce that the extended heroic and myth track items are not retroactive
What do you expect, in the same thread you have people claiming thag, and the same side people claiming they’ll have to purchase a mythic boost in order to be competitive.
I’m no pro, but if 1-2% is the difference between a title or not, maybe you weren’t meant to get it.
It’s just the cherry on top. You can’t release an absurdly timegated, broken patch and then immediately rugpull everyone with a tiered deterministic loot system that benefits some people disproportionately and others not at all, and expect everyone to be happy about all of it.
Believe what you want there. The DH buddy I’ve been running dungeons with over the last 3 expansions is one of my best friends and was nice enough to get me it for a combined Christmas/Birthday present.
