Puzzling Cartel Chip Update (Part 1)

Blizz could remove heroic raid lockout, but they don’t.

Blizzard devs i have an experiment that i wished you would do for 1 seaason only… make it at start of season player has to choose which content they wanna do either it be mythic + or raiding and that choice is account wide. let the players decide this way which content they rather do.

How to cure people’s WOW addiction,.

Grats.

The M+ addition is true BLP. By the time we can use the chips we’ll have had over a dozen vaults. But the raid chips aren’t really BLP. Raiders can kill the boss the first time and immediately choose the loot they want. BLP for M+, welfare loot for raiders and somehow raiders think it isn’t fair.

Then they can buy their bis trinkets from m+ to help with progression. I am fully aware progression sucks for gearing. I have said this system is terrible for helping with that.

But to get pissed because other people can buy 1% upgrades in a system you were fine with before is ridiculous.

Still need an answer for all the people who are skilled enough and want to do mythic raid, but for whom the roster boss is a dealbreaker.

You wouldn’t have had near as much pushback on the dinar thing if people could earn the items without bending the knee.

When, like some people here, you’re putting so much effort into mental contortionism to justify why other people shouldn’t have something like cartel chips when you presumably benefit from it for the same reasons, even after Blizzard has come around and settled the argument themselves by doing something any reasonable person would agree is fair, I think it might be time to do a bit of self reflection and question whether or not it should be that important to you.

It’s not fair. They gave loot to shut people up.

You say it’s fair because you get something.

This is really the only thing that needs to be said. The only possible motivation behind being happy with cartel chips yesterday and upset with them today is that your primary motivation is taking pleasure in the fact that other people can’t have what they want.

they upset because they were adamant about how puzzling chips were fair and Blizzard just told them they were wrong by adding mythic + an avenue to get 2 items of gear at most and makes 3rd one useless.

Personally i think it’s stupid to allow anyone to buy bis very rare gear for something they did once. Thats my opinion, everyone has their own

Very rare loot should not exist.

Blizzard got rid of titanforging, why bring it back under another name?

From this day forward there will be but 1 King of Azeroth. Any lords who bend the knee will keep their titles and lands. Those who will not… Fire and Blood!

If you actually 3 vault every week (which you’d expect that someone who claims to actually like the content of M+ will do), they end up with almost 70% chance to get the item in vault (26 week season, 64M+ items+tier in vault).

ive been lucky, my first couple of mythic track vaults were crap rings but fortunately i had a heroic track upgrade available that i needed. my last couple vaults have given me decent choices.

Wrong, the odds have been calculated at 40% chance to get any one item across the entire season. Regardless, why are you comparing that to cartel chips as if M+ vault slots are somehow BETTER?

I mean lmao bro what are you even doing

And what happened to you Capslock i missed you for like 3000 posts!

Show your work then.

I ran a binomial distribution using the parameters listed above.

This is just a fact though. Using last season’s numbers, just under 1600 guilds killed last boss, and the rank 800 guild killed it about 4.5 months into the season.

I am not going to check your numbers but why does this matter, yesterday you were happy with this system and it was fair for everyone.

Now that i can buy a trinket that i had a 70% chance of getting anyway that makes it a bad system?

I’m fine with M+ items coming from M+.

I wasn’t sure that this addition was entirely necessary, but requiring M+ to buy M+ items is the way to do it, just like requiring raid to buy raid items is the way to do it.
