The solution doesn’t need to be permanent.
In fact, I suggest that ALL the solutions I recommended should only be implemented on a temporary basis.
Says who? you? A handful of #Nochanges pserver streamers?
Blizzard themselves
You don’t waste dev time on temporary solutions to temporary problems. There’s enough bugs floating around that deserve the time more.
Just tell McCool and the gang to come back to Faerlina alliance more often.
Because blizzard doesn’t know how to handle layering and world events with players on a large scale for “vanilla” like servers.
But regardless, it was for one reason, which was a good reason and they should keep it up regardless imo, was the waves of players in a zone. Especially on launch.
If you want mega servers, private servers are right over the hill and to the left.
The rest of us are here for a more vanilla like experience.
Rocksalot you complaining?
Blizzard is already taking temporary steps to mitigate faction imbalance, and IT’S A GOOD THING.
None of the bugs I’m aware of will cause as many issues for as many people as the faction imbalance on many of the PvP servers.
It takes zero dev time to open faction specific transfers, that’s the difference.
It’s not like doing your queue thing would really fix faction imbalance anyway, transfers are the only way, and guess what, many people WON’T take them.
Oh? Well then…
It takes zero dev time to implement faction specific queues.
It’s not like doing the faction-specific-transfer thing would really fix faction imbalance anyway, queues are the only way, and guess what, many people WON’T change their behavior because of them.
One OP doesn’t speak for the community. He is not the opinion of the majority and I’ll find him on Herod and hunt him down knowing I actually hate him for his views.
Die horde!
I don’t feel bad for anyone on Herod. You guys were warned multiple times but you wanted to be absolute in what server you were playing on. Something, something, worlds smallest violin ect…
I would take dev time to implement faction specific queues… and for what? Two weeks worth of queues at best?
When there’s no queues it will do nothing.
Don’t know why anyone would think a simple observation is complaining. I’ve never for a second doubted my choice to roll on Herod I wouldn’t transfer if you paid me.

Except it doesn’t take dev time to do that… “is character horde? Yes, allow transfer”, they’ve probably had the ability to do this for years.
You’re asking the to write a different queuing system.
and the thing is NEITHER will solve the faction imbalance, most people aren’t going to move, and in a week or two when queues are gone it’s still going to be just as imbalanced as ever.
Only way to balance servers is to force move and cap, and no one wants that.
I thought Herod was supposed to be the tRuE vAnIlLa ExPeRiEnCe!
Don’t bring layers back to the home of the truest of the true.
Except it doesn’t take dev time to do that… “is character faction capped? No, allow immediate log in”, they’ve probably had the ability to do this for years.
