Remove item repair from the game, and add durability to every single item.

durability damage comes from more thsn than just death just being in combat will break your gear especially weapons and shields
Exactly so that you can no longer repair items, you must replace them.

yup it’s like ethereal items in D2 those were cool
yup, it was amazing, and this would actually drive the players to really do dungeons, even low tier raids, and world content because they would actually be “Broke” often.
=)

Wait did they remove HArdcore realms, it sounds like that’s what you want.

Hardcore realms are still a thing, but this would add more spice to anniversary realms.
Both actually, Death reduces Durability by 10% immediately as you know, but naturally combat does also.
The idea is that weapons and armor aren’t permanent and you will need to replace them no matter what even if it’s a BiS item like Drakefang; gotta replace eventually.
Seems like more of a less spicy hardcore flavor.
More spice than Normal, less spice than HC. Tho this would be amazing to also add to HC.
Honestly sounds like an amazing HC challenge. Probably something I’ll consider on my next HC play through.
Hmmm now I’m curious how difficult it’d be to code a small addon to block repairs….

A way to just do this is to simply never repair gear when its broken, man it would add a whole new level to HC play.
Yeah, but I’d be irritated when I inevitably click the repair button out of habit lol
this would be a cool addition to HC. So you have to keep farming content.
But like you said if there was an addon you could just make to add a confirmation to your repair it would at least remind you to not repair
I figured it’d be a fairly simple one to code, but decided to make sure I wasn’t reinventing the wheel and checked curse. And sure enough there’s one out there.
