From 14 years ago and a version of the game that is already available to those that want it.

With how stubborn they have been in bfa I’m calling 9.2. Possibly 9.1 at the earliest so 6 months plus of dropping sub numbers. I certainly won’t be paying them again until they do

How is it a meaningful choice if we pick on information initially available then it gets changed a week later? That’s not meaningful choice at all.

BlizZard goes on vacation in Nov/Dec so I am going to say probably Feb of 2021 but waiting that late means the bean counters will want a new retail WoW team to take over. 
Yea I mean it’s 1 am for me and I have been on the beers since 4 pm but even I can see that haha
Edit. BTW when they eventually pull the rip cord and I come back to the game you and I should play together. We agree on a lot

Most people don’t care. They’re indifferent. The only people that it’s really going to affect are number fondlers.
well they aren’t balanced right now, but HOPEFULLY once we get to retail they will alter them as patch cycles go on. It is what it is, you are all playing the game as if there hasn’t been massive changes along the expansions life cycle.
Which means that for those that don’t care then changing it won’t hurt them. There is only 1 condition that 1 group loses and its what they are currently doing lol

So you would be OK with them making sweapi g changes and taking your chosen covenant from best town to worst after you have picked it? That would royally tick me off personally
There’s no reason to waste the edit when it’s only going to affect a small group of people.
You will survive.
It’s going to impact mythic raiders, people who push keys, arena players and of course every other person who doesn’t push that content but still wants to be the strongest version of themselves.

If it were that small it wouldn’t be such a big deal as it is. A thread of over 5k posts and many YouTube videos by many different people and different levels of gameplay.
Of course I will. Its a video game. I did unsub over it though and I know plenty of other people have too. So given that it hurts no one and would re earn back subs I’m struggling to see why they shouldn’t do it other than their own egos of course
And they can still do that. The only difference is that Covenant/Class combinations can still clear a majority of the content, which was always the intention.
Mythic Raiding, pushing into +18 Keys, and pushing Glad are essentially minigames for people who want that feeling of competition. You’re going to chase the easiest deltas and optimal builds.

Blizzard hosts tournaments for Mythic keys and Arena, Blizzard also now fully supports the RTWF.
People will be able to do that without a covenant at all, that’s entirely against the point.
People should be able to pick the covenant for whatever reason they want, someone who picks for power should be in the same category of player who picks for aesthetic reasons. Imagine someone who picks Kyrian for transmog then a week later the transmog gets changed.
It’s unfair.
