Wouldn’t it be nice if tier sets came back? Would be 4 less pieces of gear to swap out…

I actually agree.

I still can’t forgive Blizzard for sacrificing tier sets for Azerite armor.

I agree, again!

Hopefully they follow through with their claims that they plan on bringing tier back in 9.1 or 9.2.

Just imagine them trying to balance conduits…covenants…gradual stat increases…and tier set bonuses

That had to happen when they made the three pillars of gear progression. M+, Raids, and Pvp.

They didn’t say it would have set bonuses. Just cosmetic sets.

I always thought my imagination had no bounds.

Yet, here we are…

Why would they make different sets and not add in tier bonuses? They haveto know that’d be a slap in the face to a whole bunch of people.

They could do the more logical thing and create set bonuses that affect Covenants

For example:
(2): Your Covenant ability CD is reduced by 15%
(4): Your Covenant class ability CD is reduce by 20%
(6): The effects of your active Soulbind bind tree are increased by 5%

Could be one path, but no chance on it being limited to just raids. It would need to come from all three.

I kinda get where you’re coming from here, but I can only see that as a complete balancing nightmare. Especially the 4 set, oof.

The best thing about Blizzards reasoning of tier sets removal was they didn’t like people getting a piece that locked the gear in for the entire tier.

Then following it up with purchasable sockets and corruption lmao.

Come on Froom, cut me some slack its a contrived example

I know! I wasn’t criticizing you, I was just saying that adding CDR to class abilities would be a pretty big headache to balance I think, that’s all!

Yeah I just don’t understand that. I mean the only thing I can think of is people were acquiring copious quantities of echoes that they’d never be able to spend?

Yeah, i see what you’re saying also.

It was always billed as a test. If you are going to test. Gather the data you need, then swing the gates wide open and test the limits.
It broke the game.
