Want to speed up how fast you accrue loot in expeditions by 17%? Queue up with 1 friend and Just kick the third random before the event is over.
Sounds illegal, no? It’s actually completely within the rules. Blizzard validates kicks by group majority. So your friends don’t need a reason, all you need is majority. Since you guys are 2/3 people, you’ll always win! More loot!
Blizzard cant touch you either! They know people are doing this, but have no interest in punishing you. So carry on!

Please blizzard. Just address this issue. Make an official statement that there’s no loot incentive to kick an innocent player and make doing so punishable. It’s happening with increasing frequency. I can see this turning off people from the game in frustration. We cannot afford to lose more subscribers.
Official Blizzard stance (this is an intentional in-game tool and is not a case of misuse):
“When it comes to the vote-kick system, anyone is able to initiate or take place in a vote to kick any player for any reason. While I understand that these reasons may not always be honorable, it is not considered harassment, as they are merely utilizing the in-game tools available to them.”
Yeah, this does seem to be a problem that I hope gets addressed. I don’t run into it myself often but regardless it doesn’t seem fair that people do this.
I don’t think they’re that concerned with people enjoying the IEs since, you know, they aren’t enjoyable. They just need some gating mechanism for their dumb AP system.
he’s saying that the loot is split between 3 people and if there is one less person you get that loot split between the two interested parties and cut out the other guy completely. Thanks OP, you couldnt have just reported it as a bug or something? Bringing it to the attention of everyone has now just gave it far more exposure.
All the loot is personal though each person has their own roll so I don’t see how removing people would increase your odds. It would be like kicking people from world bosses to get their bonus rolls…
Votekicking isn’t even the worst issue at hand here - it’s the fact that you had your time wasted and was also denied loot in the process. I’d be fine if people could votekick others for reasons, as long as they are entitled to the part of loot they helped with.
“When it comes to the vote-kick system, anyone is able to initiate or take place in a vote to kick any player for any reason. While I understand that these reasons may not always be honorable, it is not considered harassment, as they are merely utilizing the in-game tools available to them.”
So we are 100% allowed to kick innocent players that have spent their time and effort in our group so we can essentially ninja their loot. Enjoy this new profitable farm technique, forums.
Oh, that super random kick I got while running islands on my alt makes some sense now.
I got randomly kicked from an island right before the last 1k.
I hadn’t said a single word the whole run and even stayed with the group as my alt isn’t the most geared.
It seemed absolutely baffling to me that I had done anything the other two would go through all the trouble of removing me from the group over. Especially considering the thing would be over in the next 2 mins anyway.
Also just let us solo or quo queue without getting pugs - i could probably solo normals and maaayybe heroics. I dont need anything nerfed because im solo, bring it on i say.
Eh they do, i can sometimes solo them however. Running away is always an option too - I’ve even tagged rares and let them deal with it sometimes. They arent that smart,
Because its soooooooooooo hard and takes sooooooo much time to add validation to kicks to prevent afking. Oh wait it’s not - an intern can code in fair validators in a day.
The OP isn’t exactly giving this more exposure. This is widely recognized as the most efficient method of farming IE items.
I don’t do it out of principle. But this is working as intended when it comes to the vote kick system. And yes the loot is randomly distributed at the end of an island. So if its split two ways instead of three, way higher chances at a mount, etc.
