The tree needs to change with the zone, not RL seasons. Why do they make such stupid decisions?

how would it make more sense for a tree to change appearance based on the zone it’s in, rather than changing based on seasons?

Well, one, because it’s not actually a tree, it’s a creature. Two, because it’s a game and it needs dynamics. If you go to Winterspring now on a green Wandering Ancient, it is out of place. Three, people are going to not even care about the Wandering Ancient by fall.

i’m pretty sure people are going to whip these out every time there’s a change in season, even if it’s just to toy around with them for a few minutes.

I’m playing on russian servers. In russia spring starts march 1st. But we still had to wait for 20, ugh.

Because when it’s winter in the US and Europe it’s summer in Brazil and Australia. Seasons are reversed depending on the hemisphere of the planet you are in.
And if Azeroth is anything like Earth, then when it’s winter in Hyjal it’s summer in Tanaris.
So we end up in a situation where I’m in Brazil’s summer IRL with the world melting around me, and my character is in the white-hot sands of the desert of Tanaris, and somehow my tree is covered in snow.
