I don’t post here enough to care about my trust level but i am curious as to the rank names. For example it says my trust level is member is that like rank 1? if you go up a rank does it actually say rank 2 or does it give you a different name?

It gets better I just received a survey about appealing the silence. LOL :see_no_evil: Too funny.

It is rather freeing. Problem is I really try not to be too snarky. Not because of the trust levels but because I know my humor is rather dry and most don’t get it.

Oh lucky you - I never received a survey about or to appeal the silence, I appealed it on my own and well…no comment. lol

I did, however receive a survey on what I thought of the entire issue and what I thought about my recent interaction…hahaha that was probably the most enjoyable survey I ever took for these ppl b/c I most definitely let them know what I felt about the entire…“issue”. lol

Only time I’m intentionally snarky to ppl is when they are complete mules, and are going out of their way to be that way to me or other ppl. Generally, if I get kindness, I return it. If I get a jerk attitude, my snark comes out. /shrug

I just checked where you are talking about and that is actually new, or new to me anyway - I haven’t seen that before on my activity until just now.

You used to have to click on your activity and in your browser remove anything past your name/server and get a bunch of gobbledygook coding and sort through where it would show a bunch of 0’s, 1’s, 2’s and 3’s etc. lol

My guess is it will simply change from “Member” to something else once you’ve been “promoted” to a higher TL.

There is an entire thread section on the welcome to the forums threads pinned to the top of the GD front page you can sort through and find all the explanations of things/what having a certain permission/TL means etc, if that interests you.

If the forums run on a policy that says “no X”, but the game does otherwise, and both are monitored by Blizzard, then it is clear the issue is improper policy management.
Particularly because if an individual discusses any drug use in game, that opens them up to moderation. I get your input, but its also why moderation gets critiqued so harshly. It is arbitrary

Work in progress. I feel like it’s a forgone conclusion at this point.

Telling people to ignore/not feed a troll will as well, as it “makes the forum an unsafe environment for the poster.”

<-- Confirmed. I still find it funny since it’s not against the ToU, and there’s actively a clause in the ToU about trolls. But shrug.

There’s nothing improper about it because one has active mods and one doesn’t. Both sets of rules are spelled out for players in a very easy to read format.

No, because the game is rated T, but what is the quote? Something about “online experience may be different”.

That’s hurtful.

Every time I get close I ruin it. Once, I mentioned physically impossible hypothetical punishment for the development leadership for what BFA has been. Got 72 hours for that one. Egg on my face, I tell ya whut.

I guess you’re in Canberra?

The forums dont have a rating, simple as that, and let alone, as I said previously, there is drugnuse in the game. If you disxuss it on the forums, you can get modded.

So yes, it is improper management because the policy is not applied equally. It is entirely arbitrary, and since the mods have almost no oversight, over turning such matters is rare

federalism is such a good thing. Not only are the feds not enforcing, but they have to accept it now because it is becoming national. States have authority over fed, it’s a two way street.

I got hit for “Gr8 b8 m8, I r8 8/8” in a clear troll thread… that got closed by a forum mod an hour later. Asked for repeal and they just repeated the automated message.

The forums have their own standards. I wish I could find the old blue posts that explain why the forums have their moderation and why, but chances are they no longer exist.

Weed as far as I am aware, does not exist in the game, and they aren’t illegal because it’s a fantasy world. The forums are not Azeroth.

Of course it’s not applied equally because, like I said, the forums and the game are not the same thing. Trying to lump them together won’t change it.

I miss the MVPs who would explain it a lot better.

Since this is getting repetitive, I think that’s the last stab for this conversation from me.

I mean, if the forums are meant to discuss the game, and aspects of the game cannot be discussed or mocked because of irl connections, then its a policy issue.

It is not hard to understand, and absurd decisions should not be defended.
Also, drug use is in the game

Oh I won’t post it but I will posit that pot being illegal is abject fascism. Have a great day.
