I will never forget the quest titled “WANTED: Murkdeep!” in Darkshore.

Those Murlocs, at the lake… That have like a 2 sec respawn and aggro with a mob of like 5-6 at a time…
Died so many times to them…
OH!!! I forgot about those hidden Orcs… They got me more than a few times.
Really, you should let new folks experience Murloc Death naturally … on their own. We don’t need to warn them of every wonderful thing about Classic, do we?
For you players that came in with Cata and later, and have read through this thread - WE ARE NOT KIDDING!! Learn from our mistakes and have fun with a great game.
This is not an understatement - If anything, we’re under playing how horrible these little pests really are!
Murlocks hit like a champ and lots of aggro.
BUT
Let me tell you about Silithid Eggs and the grubs and scorpids that guard them… BEWARE!!!
OMG! Everyone keep it down…shhhhh. Don’t let them hear you…my god!
Those murloc camps in elwynn forest when your trying to find the guards corpses…
You can never aggro just one!
15 years of hearing “murglgrgllgrl” and I haven’t played for 8 of them.
War(craft) is hell.
Hogger…
Aaaaaand Tyr’s Hand on a bad pull or you forgot about the patrol aaaaand you’re OOM.
Stick to the walking paths and avoid embankments!
If you grew up on later patches where any class can pull any bunch of mobs or elites and kill them all no problem. I get a word of warning for you. When you get a quest to go to a murloc camp, either skip it, find a group, or pull the outliers and DON’T LET THEM RUN. Just like decently geared warlocks, Murlocs WILL kill you. Every.single.time. If you don’t heed these words, you will remember this when you wake up in the middle of a night in a cold sweat, hearing murglgrgllgrl, afraid to look under the bed. You have been warned.
This man speaks the truth. There’s a reason murlocs are so popular in World of Warcraft!!
Let the bloodied, mutilated corpses of Rolf and Malakai be a warning to you, they’re there for a reason.
You forgot the Gnolls… Those pesky Gnolls in Redridge and Westfall suuucked so bad in groups…
Should we warn new players about that group of gnolls hiding behind the large rock just east of Lakeshire and waiting to ambush them on the road?
Nah.
Another thing I remember is to stay out of zones that are way higher than your level. I remember just peaking in on the Western Plague Lands when I was a lowby questing in Tirisfal Glades. Was just curious. Back then, I guess the level differential was tied to the aggro radius pretty strongly. I was immediately munched on by a much higher level diseased bear that came out of nowhere.
Last stress test, I had my first death in Classic: the trolls in Dun Morogh, on Shimmer Ridge. I didn’t realize two were standing almost on top of each other. I was on a Dwarf warrior, and just did manage to kill them both.
Then a pat came along. I had eaten for a second or two, got back some health, and so had just enough to almost kill him. Then he ran inside a cave and aggroed three more. After my corpse run, I got a group together. Freakin’ trolls and lightning, man.
Too funny! Good memories! Thank god we are Cylons. We just DL into another copy of our body and retain the memories.
oh the hogger… THE HOGGER!
I wonder how long it will be before the first raid group of lvl 1 gnomes makes it’s way to the deeprun tram to take Hogger on.

Just wait till those that started in the last couple of expansions try to go to Western Plaguelands in the mid 30’s… hahaha. Gonna be funny.
