Well looking up James Clark’s name, i did found a few interesting searches.
One of them being James H Clark, an American entrepreneur and computer scientist. There’s many more Jame’s Clark in sports, entertainment, and etc.
But back to your comment, are you essentially saying that RP’ers have this double standard that for NPC’s that obviously take from celeb names with some variation, that’s fine, but when we do the same, suddenly it’s bad? 
I say Medieval cause it said this in the rulebook.

…which is doubly weird thinking that this game has gnomes and other weird things.
My point is, this is just a weird rule to include. I get they don’t want us to name ourselves “Robotman” But if your telling me James isn’t valid… then i see an NPC named James, then what the hell Blizzard?

Ye, so something that’s just “Fantasy” and not “Medieval” is fine then.

When you report a player for innappropriate name, it doesn’t ban them, it will ask them to rename their character the next time they try to log-in with that character.
It’s not a trigger, it’s respecting the rules of the RP server. Apparently, you are too entitled to do that. That’s how RP servers get ruined. People who think the rules don’t apply to them. By the way, I’m not an RPer

the only entitlements here are the rules nazziis/gate keepers. like seriously explain why the name blue is not acceptable.

I mean, a lot of actual RPers will have their character go by a nickname and then set their real name in TRP.
James is perfectly fine, lol.

It’s the rules of the server. If the name doesn’t fit with the environment, they will ask you to change it. Pretty simple. There are lots of names that belong and names that don’t. James probably isn’t a bad one. I just think people need to respect the rules of RP servers.

…According to her (or him, or whatever. i’m going by Avatar), i can’t name my person james cause james cameron is a celeb, which by that logic, i guess we can’t name anybody anything cause their taken by a celeb.

Right, but what’s not appropriate? I’ve seen plenty of people roleplaying under their character’s in-character nickname. And you admit to not even RPing, so idk.

No, I don’t RP, but it’s a rule of the server. A rule made by Blizzard. This really isn’t hard.
This just in, non-RPer dictates RPer’s naming conventions.
We live in a world in which someone’s last name can be “Bonechewer,” and going by your character’s surname is perfectly acceptable. Let me know once you actually start RPing and we can continue the discussion.
Edit: I am not talking about people with meme sentence names, or the such. Obviously those don’t belong.
