Troll has always been best Classic PvP priest race because of Shadowguard.
Might change in later tiers if that racial thing does come to pass, but as of right now it’s erroneous to say it’s inevitable when it’s just a “maybe.”

Shadowguard procs on spells man. It also causes spell pushback. To answer your question, ill be stunning them.
Fear is easy to outrange, and priests are one of the best classes for having to sit a fear due to all shield/hot/pom. Not to mention, Meta locks cannot fear in form and that’s all anyone plays in SoD. I dont rely on the crutch that is Wotf and i think its overrated for SoD.
So how does a blackout proc help you when you are sitting in a fear and multi dotted?

The lock will stunlock himself, and ill survive the dots with my shield/pom/renew. Then ill dispel the dots when im out. He’ll die from my dots and shadowguard, and will be healing for 20% less because Hex of Weakness which he cannot dispel.
Troll is far superior vs Warlock.
