Ràger ...
Ya, they really need to hotfix this problem.
They do and I'll just vendor the bracers permanently. Still better in the long run.
I have character right near that ilvl and that stormheim invasion was easy on them at that ilvl - how much easier do you actually need it to be ?

As stated many times in this thread, we're not talking about making it easier, there was no change in difficulty. Instead it was a change in tedium.

There is no change in tedium either - things are dying fast.

As easy as it was in 7.1
There were no invasions in 7.1 so how do you know how easy it should be ?

They're taking longer to kill than before, and even if it's 1-3 seconds per mob it adds up. And is simply there to pad numbers

So how many mobs do you figure you actually do a day. 100 ? 200 ? 100 at 3 seconds is 5 minutes. Is all this anger in this thread you guys are generating about this worth 5 minutes a day ? Is playing WoW that terrible for you that 5 minutes extra a day is just a game breaker ?

Read at least part of the thread and you'd know. I will no longer respond to poor troll attempts.

I see you have no answer and I must be a troll because I am trying to understand what the problem is.

Regnyl It's not going away. They have spent far too much time fixing all of the workarounds for them to have ever once seriously considered removing it - yet another of their lies. No amount of complaining or protest will change their minds, accept it.
Every one of you who dislikes this change has exactly two options - shut up and live with it, or unsubscribe. There are no other options.
My sub expires in ten hours, how about yours?
7 days for me. considering on buying Kingdom Hearts 1.5/2.5 HD Remix for the PS4 now...that or lego dimensions.
also gonna look into stuff for Final Fantasy XIV as well.
also suspected that it was too good to be true really. Blizz having a change of heart. iLvl scaling and CRZ is a cancer, plain and simple. nothing more. nothing less.
If you get into FF14, gilgamesh for non RP, balmung for RP if you want heavily populated worlds.
after item level 850 mobs have more hit points, yes they go down, they take longer than mobs before this item level scaling.
Other changes include:
Mobs in old world now scale.
Result: a reduction in how much time you are doing the things you set out to do.
Pros for your gaming experience:
????
Cons for your gaming experience:
????
How many mobs do you kill over a month?
multiply that number by a few seconds each, subtract that amount of time from accomplishing what you want to do during that month.
Pros for blizzard
You might not have accomplished your goals and have to resub to do so.
Cons for blizzard
???

If you wanted to understand this problem, you would have actually read some significant fraction of the thread. Your posts seem to indicate you have not done this.
And I just went to a tower and checked mob hp, it's still scaled, nothings changed since the initial slight lowering of it. At ilvl 900 mobs are still about 25% higher than they were before the patch (for ~24 hours after patch it was more like 50%).
You would see that even if ilvl scaling
was removed.
They retuned mobs to target people around ilvl 850 to go along with increased rewards everywhere. The only way you'll verify scaling is/isn't around is to look at them with different characters(...two of yours, or you and another person).
So keep that in mind when you think about ilvl scaling, that the base monsters have been retuned as well before being scaled. You're not just looking at scaling, you're looking at the cumulative effect when you look at an npc now.

been on the Zalera server for quite some time now. friend of mine plays there as well as Balmumg...I've been playing FF XIV for the past 2 years this sept actually.
also noticing the trolls are gaining the advantage. does it bother me? not really. does it surprise me? not at all.
I'm trying very hard to be polite and not burst into laughter so instead I'm pulling out the "Been Playing Since Vanilla" card and saying B.S. You do recall the Stat Squish which was in part implemented to reign in the out of control power creep, yes?
It was not power creep, it was the insane numbers people were pulling with crits, player health pools, mob pools, all of it. The system was slowing because of the resources to compile such massive numbers from all players every second was huge.
When they did the first stat squish, it was the first one i remember seeing for a LONG, LONG time, and i have been here day after day for 12+ years. It was the numbers, not the power creep. They just have not done a squish in years.

I forget what realm i am on in FFXIV, have not renewed yet until this runs out in a month. But i know it is a legacy(or whatever it is called) realm where everyone was more than happy tp help me through my whole journey there. Never encountered a snotty or rude reply to ANY question i had.
You have to LOVE that. And i do, thats why i am going back. FFXIV and frequent rides on the Harley and my summer is looking good.
Morning, all. Based on the last couple of pages, I think it's worth saying:
If you're newly joining the thread at this point, it's irresponsible to claim that you don't understand what the problem is. There's thousands of posts of arguments, please take the time to do at least a little bit of homework before going on the offensive.

It's the same old trolls posting on an alt. Move on, nothing to see here.
I play on one of the largest servers in the US and I've never had a problem rounding up all the mobs I need for questing, unless a group has already tagged it..... which this does not fix. I guess there's the warden Rares that sometimes die before I run up.... but those respawn, and I'm sure that I'd still be just too late sometimes because lol my luck.
This is just a time waster, pure and simple. If they thought you would be excited for it, they would have put it in the patch notes instead of hiding it.
I don't know what Blizzard is waiting for. I heard somewhere that they would remove this thing if the majority of the community didn't want it, and it's safe to say nobody wants this. I'm waiting for the day where I will log in and it's hot fixed out of the game.
