I really enjoyed proving grounds. I don’t think that they were at all useful for determining if a person should do a heroic dungeon or not but it was a fun piece of solo content. I would like to see them brought back reward only cosmetic stuff.
Which was the point of the original post. 2.0 wouldn’t be an arbitrary test that has nothing to do with actual content, it would mirror dungeons as closely as possible while also allowing player control. Kinda like a Star Trek holodeck where you walk in and say, “computer, simulate X boss on Y difficulty with Z affixes”.
EXACTLY i mean you walk onto a holodeck and practice with rebuilding an engine block yet then they call you up and say ok time for your test then they wheel out a guy on a gurney and expect you to do an open heart transplant
its not an accurate representation of what you were training for
In my experience the ones who need the most amount of help are the least likely to actually use resources to get better .
We have been down this path before. Blizzard isn’t willing to tell a paying customer they cant queue for something so the issue is a moot point and sadly a waste of resources.
