Yeah this is a legitimately good idea and I’d like to see this.
I’ve got 8 different motes and 5 different patterns, and still can’t make any pets. And, I haven’t seen anything to make mounts, but I haven’t been at that point very long.
It’s annoying to be sure. Not going to rage quit, but just annoyed.
Took me 3 days to grind for the feather to make my flying bug, I had 157 motes when i started, i had 615 when i finally got the dang feather today. Geez.
This is not a realistic take, despite being a common one. Expansion after expansion, I never see people who finish their zone mount / pet collection activities go, “hey Blizzard, I’ve run out of 1% drops to farm or mega-material grinds, there’s nothing to do!” Those types of people almost always have a backlog of things to do anyway from other expansions or other things to farm not in the most current zone.
It’s actually rare to find someone complain about “nothing to do” in general in the game, including with smaller zones that you finish a lot more quickly (like Korthia). The more common complaint is just that a raid tier / M+ / PvP season has lasted too long. Outdoor content doesn’t drive those complaints.
If Blizzad’s actual goal is for obnoxious levels of Genesis mote farming to keep everyone engaged in Zereth Mortis, then that is a bad plan and an indication that someone in Blizzard’s team is in the wrong job.
I really not upset about amounts of stuff to farm up what pisses me off is most of it can’t go into my Regnant Bank…I am having to send BoA mats to another alt to store just so I can have some bloody room in my bags…I shouldn’t have too depend on having alts to store stuff I am farming for one expansion…I already have two alts banks busting with Pet Charms stacks and leveling stones. Another item that can’t be put in regnant bank or into a guild bank.
I have 5 Private Guild banks…I should be able to store everything I farm in them even the BoA stuff and Pet Charms…
