these votes have to be rigged. Season 2 IMO felt better than S3 not by much but still better.
I mean it is a little funny, you know in the laugh-crying kind of way.
You’re good, man, and I understand where you’re coming from. I don’t necessarily agree that warrior’s AoE damage is always good. Thunder Clap’s bleed spread is target capped to the unholy number of 5, but this current tier set has done them a lot of justice in the ST department. Really, the main universal complaint is their lack of utility. This is usually meant by CC, but sometimes encompasses their lack of self healing, or external functions. Spell Reflection can be powerful, but it’s hyper-niche situations, and usually only for bosses. Sometimes, that niche cannot even be used from the tanking position because spells it matters on only target the rest of the party (Yazma, Etch, Tidehunter healing absorb spell in Throne–just from this season). My suggested band-aid for this has been to just give them a party-wide Spell Reflection.
Warrior needs some serious systemic rework if we’re going to become “the damage tank”, and I’m not impressed by Mountain Thane being a passive spec that is pushing, yet again, Thunder Clap, a historically disappointing ability for damage. Except that time you could stack 3 Avatar/TC traits in BFA (a playstyle which I didn’t like, personally, but everyone else enjoyed because it was powerful).
All roads lead to Rome, except Rome is “warrior has no class utility”.
I agree that, in general, Mountain Thane looks novel conceptually, but doesn’t seem to do or bring anything else we haven’t already been doing before.
We still have yet to see Colossus, and there is a feedback thread they might be watching more closely than we realize, but nothing about the thematic name of Colossus inspires utility conceptually.
Devs don’t play world of warcraft
All I know is, look at BDK bloodboil vs thunder clap. Bloodboil, 8 target max, 2 charges, hits harder too. Meanwhile TC radius has been bugged for years at this point, warrior discord already tested the supposed 8 yard radius and it’s closer to 6 yard radius.
For some reason Blizz is STILL trying to overcompensate for the fact that it was Warrior or nothing to tank back in Vanilla raiding.
We were until they took away our capacity to stack tons damage into our [ignore pain]. Teir set had very little to do with our quality of play in season 1. Post nerf prot struggled to be competitive in any way.
