It’s not though? You still need to grind exalted.
Kinda is when you can farm 3/4 of the way without really doing anything much. After that who know what they have planned for next phase or phase 3, may totally be plausible to be able to reach exalted by doing them. After that i don’t really care, it was mostly just useful to unlock some easy gear to wield.
Fair, but it is actually 1/2 of the way because exalted is 21000 rep, and Friendly + Honored + Revered is also 21000 rep
Being able to get exalted with your WSG faction without ever having to step foot in WSG is dumb and should never happen.
I enjoy Ashenvale way more than spamming premades.
Alternatively adding a solo queue would be more enjoyable than what we have now. This whole exalted rep grind ruins WSG.
I’ve done the WSG grind multiple times in Classic Era Alone (3 times there pre-TBC) and have done it on this character I’m posting on (albeit Retail is slightly easier where its 100 rep per flag vs 35).
I’m not saying you should be able to get exalted for Arathi Basin and AV rep outdoors as those grinds are infinitely better to do.
WSG is simply the worst rep grind.
Some people did that week 1 when Ashenvale didn’t have a Revered cap.
The WSG grind for SoD was literally cut in half thanks to Ashenvale. 21k of the 42k rep required can be obtained completely AFK, without even playing the game.
If that’s not enough for you, then idk… maybe go back to retail
It still requires 600 flags to cap which for people who don’t (cant if their class is undesirable) queue for premade is an absolute nightmare because of how prevalent premades are. And you can get games that go on for hours because of the lack of time limit.
The other 2 PvP rep grind are perfectly fine, the issue has always been with WSG. And I’ll happily grind those from Neutral to Exalted only doing their respective BG’s.
That is dumb and should never happen
I’d personally say revered to exalted should be only doable through defense means. I.E HKs to complete a quest, or maybe killing players gives you a stacking buff that doesn’t expire on death that you have 2 hours to effectively dump for rep. Though people would find a way to math that one down to simple HK trading.
Premades have always been a major part of Classic, this isn’t a new thing in SoD. The only thing that has really changed is what comp is meta, and that will likely change every phase.
Only because one is a PvE zerg much like Ashenvale, and the other tends to reward all but the worst groups with at least something. But for most of these people we are still talking about 500+ games, something they are unlikely to ever achieve before the season ends.
I guess my only question is….when is the next wsg weekend? Or is that even a thing right now.
Arathi Basin & Warsong Gulch both require 100 wins to go from revered to exalted.
Your problem seems to be that you think you should get the best rewards in the game when you lose.
Retail is that way

And Arathi Basin is a far better grind to do. Games cant drag on for 60+ mins, there are generally (from Classic experiance) less AB premades. (and I’ve done the exalted WSG grind in Classic 2019 3 times alone).
The issue is you can’t win unless you are in a premade and you can’t join a premade if you are an undesirable class like rogue.
Why do you have an issue with people who enjoy playing both Retail and Classic?
Oh you’re totally right, I forgot that Rogues are well known for being the most undesirable in Classic WoW PvP

It is when Hunters and Priests are so OP, groups dont want more than 1 rogue, they do however want multiple priests and hunters (and shamans if horde)
Nah, I solo queue a lot, and win. I’m was busy last wsg weekend so I’m waiting for the next one to really grind it out. I believe one character has 4k into revered and another 5k, neither have ever been in a premade.
Rogues are pretty toxic in WSG right now. Priests are the only class that really matter, but rogues are hardly shunned in premades. Can’t tell you how many premades I have faced that leave one in the flag room to prevent anyone from dragging the game out for them.
How is that team of Hunters and Priests going to interrupt the enemy’s Priests so they can actually land kills?
Paladins with Rebuke and Shamans with Earth Shock.
If you’re losing spots in WSG premades to Ret Paladins and Shamans (who can’t kill a damn thing with Lava Burst doing like 200 damage thanks to the WSG damage reduction)
I think it’s a “you” problem.
